My Dear Letters

Not much to report today so I'll do My Dear Letters: letters I wish I could send!

------------

Dear Tommy,

I know it can be rough having a sister at times.

You’re a good sport.

Dear Natalie,

Clean your room. Seriously.

Dear Books,

Why must there be so many of you that I want? These are the books that I want to read:

The Next Best Thing by Jennifer Weiner

I Couldn't Love You More by Jillian Medoff

Good Enough To Eat by Stacey Ballis

My Big Fake Irish Life by Caitlin McKenna

Where We Belong by Emily Giffin

Signed,
A-Wish-I-Were-Rich,
Amber

--------------

Dear Target,

I still love you. Especially when you mark a bunch of toys for 70% off:

Signed,

  4. I got some great deals at Target yesterday--I was so proud. I got a 6 pack of Leapfrog Tag books for 12 CENTS because of clearance and a coupon. I almost died from the awesomeness :)

  8. Dear Amber,

Thanks for sharing your daughter's messy room. It makes me realize that the 7 piles of dirty laundry can be ignored awhile longer.

Respectfully now engrossed in trashy TV,

    Mrs. Tuna

  12. Love this post style!
My girls' room looks even worse than that. And they fight all the time.
I just read The Next Best Thing - loved it! And Emily Giffin's new one is on my to-read list. (I'm currently reading Meg Cabot's newest - have you ever read any of hers?)

    Stopping by from SITS.

  13. Did you sneak in here and snap a pic of my Kraken's room? (my 6yr old daughter) Because seriously, that is my whole situation upstairs right now. :)

  15. Our library has the monthly newsletter "Book Page". It's great - has all the latest books that are coming out. I mark which ones I want to read and type up a list. Currently my list is 150 books. (My other list is over 400 books - I put that one aside.) I was just thinking how I wish I was rich and I could just hand this list to my P.A. and say, "Please order all these books from Amazon for me." But, alas, I'm just an average American living pay check to pay check. So I use my local library. And they are great. I recommend you use your library. Then you could save your money for your favorite restaurant! :)

  17. You do know that libraries have free books, right?! ;)
PaperbackSwap is an awesome site as well. Once you find out when a new book is coming out you put it on your wish list and are notified when someone posts it (you can also auto request it so it's automatically shipped to you). All you have to do to be a member is post ten books to begin with (I often buy paperbacks at garage sales for 25 cents and post those). When people choose your book you pack it up and ship it off (usually about $2 to mail). Then you get a credit to pick any book you want. I've gotten some awesome, brand new looking books this way (The Pioneer Woman Cookbook, etc.)
