She fussed.
She cried.
She pouted.
She...
....finally got what she wanted.
Hair like Merida from Brave.
Not from me.
From Daddy.
He has a soft heart for his little girl and could see how much she yearned to have red hair.
She loves it even though it reminds me of the hair sported in the movie Amadeus. Or Marie Antoinette.
She doesn’t care. She grabbed her bow and arrow and announced to her backyard toys that she was finally (really!) Merida.
She's been wearing it nonstop around the house.
When she went to bed at night, her red hair was in a heap beside her.
Let's just hope she doesn't beg to bring her red hair with her to Kindergarten..

Ha and they say blonds have more fun :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! She is just too cute.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Those pictures are going to be GREAT to look back on when she's older.
ReplyDeleteWow, she looks loverly
ReplyDeleteOur baby girl (6) is a strawberry blond. The rest of us have dark hair. Everyone asks where she got all that red from. LOL. (we're both Irish by blood).
ReplyDeleteOh my this cracks me up! I saw that wig at Target and about died. It's even better on!
ReplyDeleteShe is just way too cute!
ReplyDeleteSounds like she has daddy wrapped around her finger :)
Love this! If I were her, I would insist on wearing it everywhere! ;-)
ReplyDeleteEvil did the same thing but with Tangled. DH caved as well. We are starting kindergarten too and I fear those moments when she demands to wear some a bit on the strange side.
ReplyDeleteRed hair was all it took? Who knew? :)
ReplyDeleteIs that her real hair??? Oh, goodness! Oh, well... she does look adorable, doesn't she?
ReplyDeletexoxo
Adorable!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if she thought you were more Meridia with your red hair? Well, before the wig, anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteCute! Dads are just the best.
ReplyDeleteThat is a load of hair lol
ReplyDeleteWay too cute.
ReplyDeleteShe's so cute!
ReplyDeleteI like the blonde hair much better. How cute and funny is she? Love it...
ReplyDeleteShe looks fabulous! My 11 year old loves her wig - and wore it with a costume when we saw Brave at the theatre. Looks like she is all ready to go on that Disney trip!
ReplyDeleteThat is too fabulous! I know it made my day just seeing the pictures, so I can imagine that she is over the moon with that hair.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetheart! I always wanted to be a redhead as a child. I still do. I loved your post!
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing! That is awesome hair.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this is how Dolly Parton started out? Ha ha
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, she looks adorable!
First Rapunzel, now this? Redheads have more fun anyway!
ReplyDeleteLOL that is just so cute. I am glad little girls have a good role model to look up to. I have not seen the movie yet but I can't wait until it hits dvd. She looks quite adorable. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteMichele
So sweet :) Love this!
ReplyDeleteBahaha...as a Kindergaten teacher I can appreciate that glorious red hair. She's rockin it!
ReplyDeleteCute! I have yet to find to many dads that can say no to their little girl!
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet face.
Definitely cute. I can't let my son see, though, or he'll insist on one for himself.
ReplyDeleteHer smile is priceless.....too cute in her red hair!
ReplyDeleteHa! Must be hard to deny that sweet little face.
ReplyDeleteAnd does this look remind anyone else of Julia Roberts in the 90's?
too funny! Can't wait to hear how the first day of K goes...you might want to start offering her bribes now to NOT wear it ;)
ReplyDeleteWhoa. That is SOME wig.
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely darling :) My little sister (back in the early 1980's) fell in love with Annie, from the movie of the same name. She had her little curly red wig too, although I have to say that Merida's beats it all the way around the block!
ReplyDeletePlus Sandy just can't compete with that bow and arrows :)
