I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

To really want to eat at Hell’s Kitchen. It would be entertaining. Yes, perhaps you wouldn’t get your food but there’s bread on the tables. I’d be happy with shouting and bread.
To have started to watch Scandal because I kept hearing how good it was. (First season is instant on Netflix.) I like it! I need to watch season 2 now because it rudely cut off season 1 before letting me know who Quinn was.
To wish people wouldn’t let their kids out before 11. Seriously, I have hooligans pounding on my door at 958 asking if my kids can play. No! It’s too early! Where are your parents?!
To play hide and seek with Natalie and take my time finding her. I’ll read a chapter and then search. When she asks what took me so long I proclaim that she’s such a fabulous hider that I couldn’t find her.
To be sad that my purse died. The strap completely snapped off. I could probably fix it with fabric glue or something. This might be a sign that I should stop picking up my handbags from the clearance bin.
To have a list of foods that I must try at Disney World. A cupcake from Starring Rolls. A carrot cake cookie from The Writer’s Shop. Or something writer’s. It’s in Hollywood Studios. A dole whip. The list goes on and on…

I've been thinking of starting Scandal...I've heard so many great things about it!
ReplyDeleteI always laugh at the people who go to Hell's Kitchen and then complain that they are hungry because they didn't get their food. Um, hello, haven't you ever seen the show? If I went, I'd eat a snack before I went. By the time I got my food, I'd be hungry, but not starving. And if we didn't get food (which, let's be honest, if I went, getting food would be a nice surprise) then I'd just go somewhere else afterwards.
ReplyDeleteI love eating at Disney! I try a new restaurant every time.
ReplyDeleteLove that you have a Disney food list! I wish I was joining you on your trip...but I can't wait to hear all about it when you're back!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your purse.
I've heard about Scandal...I'll have to try and watch a couple of episodes.
Great hide and seek idea. How long before she sneaks out, sees you reading instead of looking, and freaks?
ReplyDeleteHaha. I like the waiting to find your daughter for a while. I did that with my little sisters all the time when they were younger. :-)
ReplyDeleteoops can you delete my link. I thought I was filling out the comment for the blog not the link. I had a brain fart. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteScandal is really getting good. You will like the second season.
I like that you have your foods picked out before you go to Disney.
I had to chuckle at the hide and seek and what took you so long.
When I read letting kids out before 11, for some reason my brain saw letting kids out after 11 (as in at night) and had to wonder for a minute what kind of kids knock on doors at ten o'clock at night. Anyway, I guess you can be glad they don't!
ReplyDeleteYeah, what you said about kids knocking on the door at 9:58 just isn't right! Oooh, a carrot cake cookie sounds really good!!
ReplyDeleteForget about the cupcakes at Hollywood Roll - you NEED to have a cinnamon bun. Or one of each as I have a firm policy that calories don't count on vacation. :) OMG, I first had one of those when I was 13 or 14. The 3 times I've been back to Disney since, I've had to have one (or 2 or 3!) each time! There is a similar (but not as good) bun sold at one of the few breakfast places in Animal Kingdom. Also, there is a really cheap, awesome vegetarian sandwich (tomato pesto mozzarella on ciabatta) at the deli on Main Street in Magic Kingdom.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Italian restaurant in Hollywood Studios (near Muppet Vision 3D) is awesome but pricy. Lunch is typically cheaper. I also recommend the pub in the UK in Epcot for lunch - they have a ploughman's lunch which DH loves (hunk of bread, hunk of cheese and a huge sausage) and a really yummy shepherd's pie.
To save money, we typically ate lunch at the fancier restaurants and then just did snacks and ice cream for dinner. :)
Hope you have an awesome time!
I love that you play hide and seek and don't find her for awhile. I think I might take a play from your playbook! I always wondered who ate at Hell's Kitchen!
ReplyDeleteThat hide and seek trick is a good one, I'd absolutely do that in the summer holidays.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you play Hide and Seek!
ReplyDeleteA food list for Disney!?! I never thought of that! I feel like a failure.
Add Tiramisu in Italy to your list!
Hahahaha LOVE your technique for hide and seek! I must remember that!
ReplyDeleteHaha I love your list! I would so love to eat at Hell's Kitchen too.

I need a Disney food list!
ReplyDeleteAnd I keep hearing how good Scandal is. Everyone talks about it on twitter and I did see the first one, but I need to catch up. I love juicy storylines. Right now we're doing Arrested Development and maybe Game of Thrones after that..

ReplyDeletePlease tell me that you have added Turkey legs and Churros to your list!
ReplyDeletehaha, I feel the same way you do about neighborhood kids knocking on the door before a certain time in the mornings.
ReplyDeleteDo I need to post my link to your blog every time I blog my "it's okay wednesday"? I didn't last week but I did include your blog on mine.
I'd love to eat at Hell's Kitchen too! If nothing else than to try the risotto and beef wellington :D
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny about Natalie and hide & seek. I think I'd do the same!
