Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post. Grab the button if you'd like!
-----------------

--To be back at home in Oklahoma! We didn't hit a lot of traffic, so that was awesome.

--To have left the kids with my parents. Not on purpose, I swear. Tom and I will be kid free for 2 weeks.

--To love the store HEB. I went there a lot when I was in Texas.

--To hate unpacking. I should probably start that.

--To have immediately tossed the sheets in the wash when we got home. I hate the smell of stale sheets. I have to wash them weekly, or else I feel like I'm sleeping on filth.

--To have purchased a Frozen backpack/lunch set for Natalie from The Disney Store. I ordered it early, because I wasn't sure if it would ever get restocked in time for school.

--To be annoyed with my DVR. I recorded shows when I was gone, but it ATE most of them. *Grumbles* Not that I really needed those last two episodes of The Real Housewives of OC, but the show amuses me, dang it!

--To have taken Tommy to see the new Transformers movie before we left. No Natalie. I encountered some rude movie goers. Again. Another Things That Annoy Me Thursday post, I guess.

--To have a guest post over at Coach Daddy here. I write about how it's not always fun playing with the kids.

--To think it's funny that Natalie is one of those people who shout, "YAY!" and holds up her hands on rides.

  1. I hate rude movie goers too and quite often want to shoot the DVR... or the cable box when it goes stupid on me and doesn't switch to pre-programmed show!

  2. How was the Transformers movie? I sooo wanna see it. Good luck with unpacking; I hate doing that too. I've never shopped at a HEB. Real Housewives of OC is a guilty TV pleasure for me too.

  4. We're going on a kid free vacation in Alaska to see my brother in law and his wife. We haven't done this in years! While I do think it would have been cool to take the kids to Alaska, I am also really looking forward to it!

  7. I agree! Sheets have to be washed every week. Otherwise it feels dirty and more poor sleep becomes non-existent sleep

  8. Ugh, DVR mishaps always get me so mad! You're supposed to trust them, I say.
I don't wash my sheets weekly but I know it's supposed to be weekly! It helps with getting sick less, I heard.

  10. I'm one of those people on rides too!

    Enjoy your two kid-free weeks!

Smart to get the Frozen items now.

My DVR did not record something and now it's not On Demand and I've been having a fit about it for a week.

  14. I just love HEB. It has turned me into the biggest tortilla snob. And their guac is amazing. Glad you had fun and got home quickly! Enjoy your quiet without the kids! And why anyone would care what movie you take your kids to is beyond me. People need to get over themselves.

  20. My husband laughs at me because when we get back from a trip, I wash everything that went on the trip with us, even if it wasn't worn. Even if it stayed on a hanger the whole time or was folded in a pocket of the suitcase. I tell him it has "road grime" on it, even if it doesn't. I just like to know for sure that my clothes are straight out of the washer and dryer and into my closet before I wear them again!

  21. I'm one of those "yay" people too...but instead of embarrassing myself can I just say how exciting it must be to be kid free for TWO WHOLE WEEKS?! I mean, I'd be missing my guy after 2 hours but still, the possibilities are endless with that kind of free time

  22. #1 Enjoy your kid free time!! I'm getting mine back tomorrow and I've enjoyed the break, but I do miss them.
#2 Our DVR has been recording shows on a station that doesn't come through well, so we just have to keep deleting them and we've missed a bunch of episodes because of it. Ugh!
