--To hope Josh Duggar's victims got the proper help they needed. (Confused? Check out this article.) I watch 19 Kids and Counting, but it should be canceled, especially because Jim Bob waited a year to report Josh's molestation. Some people argue, "Could YOU turn your kids in?" Yes. If one of my kids was hurting another, I would. It would tear me inside, but I would NEVER want the child who was being molested to feel like I wasn't standing up for them. And that's my opinion on the matter. I know it's a hot topic.
--To be so tired of all this rain. I know I keep whining about it, but ugh, go away. It's supposed to rain most of this week.
--To have not done much for Memorial Day weekend. I did go to a deployment dinner put on by the key spouses, so that was awesome.
--To have written a guest post over at Samantha's blog about why deployments are difficult here.
--To be looking forward to Give Parents A Break on Saturday.
--To have a giveaway for $60 worth a jewelry from Soufeel here.
--To have thought it was funny when Natalie suddenly started to feel guilty about eating popcorn shrimp. "I don't want to kill them!" Um, they're already dead. It's fine. Enjoy. (And the bunny eating her salad is Carrots. She has to bring toys whenever we leave the house.)
All of this is OK! I'm tired of the rain too. I never thought I would say that, but I am. Heading to read your guest post!
ReplyDeleteOh man shrimp sounds good right now!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I blog a lot about being tired of rain too. OMG that face is too precious and that bunny eating salad is so stinking cute!
ReplyDeleteand he only reported it because of oprah. and honey boo boo gets cancelled for similar reasons and i think they should keep the same standards and cancel it as well. i drove home from the beach on mmeorial day, so that was it for me. i did leave the beach so no complaints. I was on vacation for a week so I am slowly getting caught up with everyone! Elle Sees
ReplyDeleteThat show should definitely be canceled, they are so holier than thou and now look.
ReplyDeleteThe Duggar situation is a Jodi Picoult book waiting to happen!
ReplyDeleteThe whole Duggar situation is a giant cluster-f@$k. I feel bad that those girls have to go through it again. It's been raining a lot here too. At least it's better than snow!
ReplyDeleteI swear to you that Natalie reminds me so much of myself. I always felt guilty eating meat when I was a kid. I guess I shouldn't say when I was a kid. I still do. :-P
ReplyDeleteScarlet and Natalie have a lot in common. By the way, Scarlet wants S'mores Oreos so much. I think we'll try to find them tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI don't know the Duggar story well but.. I'm certain I agree with you.
They did pull the show thankfully because that is just horrible for what he did and really didn't own up much t what he did to those kids. He was a predator I don't care how old he was at the time.
ReplyDeleteSo sad about the duggars's! I admit I love watching that show, but after hearing about their son it is sooo disappointing!
ReplyDeleteIt's all OK! Liked your post on Samantha's blog!
ReplyDeleteThat look on your child's face is hilarious! I'm sooo over the rain too. We didn't do much on Memorial Day weekend either.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the Duggars. And my now 13 year old would have been BEST friends with Natalie when she was that age. She pretended just like she did and also dragged her stuffed animals everywhere! Its bittersweet now to read about Natalie (and all her stuffed animal's names) because Jaina just decided to get rid of a bunch of hers.
ReplyDeleteYes to the Duggar stuff. I just find it so ironic they preach about rapists and how they are bad people and then this comes to light. Glass houses anyone?

ReplyDeleteThe Duggar news was so disappointing. I was all excited because the Duggars were coming to Alberta for the homeschool conference. After this news, if they don't cancel, there's no way I'm going.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo (and explanation) at the end. Cute... and funny.
Wishing you a lovely day.
xoxo
I knew there wasn't something right about those Duggars. And I mean...having 19 kids...you are bound to have a few bad eggs, you know? That is just statistics! I completely agree with you, how can you let one of your children do something so horrible? Just no. And I had to laugh at the popcorn shrimp. How cute!
ReplyDeleteI hate rain too. We're in the middle of a drought, which I'm kind of happy about since I hate rain. I have kind of watched the Duggars because I think they are such freaks & it was fun to watch them & make fun of them. But this is something serious.
