I'm always on the search for finding fun books for my kids to read.
I found one in Daddy Flies by Brye Butler Steeves.
Here is what the book is about:
“Daddy Flies” is a children's book for 2-5 year olds about a smart girl named Katie, who uses her little-kid logic to figure out what her dad does at work every day. Follow along with Katie! Her predicament is believable for children and amusing for parents. “Daddy Flies” is written by a military spouse, for military children. It’s 32 pages with full color illustrations and rhyming prose.
As you see the author, Brye, is actually a military spouse. She's currently in Korea with her husband.
The book is filled with colorful illustrations, and it really is a sweet read:
My daughter is 8 and while she is able to read chapter books now, she enjoyed this book. Her thoughts? "It was cute. It's neat that her Daddy is a pilot. I want to be a pilot one day. Or maybe I'll create a potion so I can fly on my own."

Natalie wants to create a potion to make herself fly. Bahaha that is awesome!
ReplyDeleteIf you guys ever get stationed by us and need a sitter, I'm your girl.
This is cute! Especially because my husband is a pilot.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I can't wait to get my copy in the mail! I LOVE Natalie's response about making a potion to fly... I'd love that! :)
