The Swan Princess: Princess Tomorrow, Pirate Today DVD Giveaway!

My daughter has always loved to dress up like a princess.

So I knew my daughter would appreciate the movie The Swan Princess: Princess Tomorrow, Pirate Today.




It's a movie about a princess named Alise is who trying to be a perfect royal--but at the same time she wants to be a pirate! My daughter feels the same way: she enjoys dressing up like a princess. Behaving like a princess. But at the same time, she wants adventure, like Alise. Princess Alise ends up on a ship that crashes on an island, and then she meets Lucas, who has been living there on his own for years. Together they have to figure out how to get back to civilization.

    I grew up in the 80s where all the princesses where helpless, always waiting for a prince to come save them to live happily ever after. This new wave of princesses have purpose, drive, and dreams which is a powerful message for kids today. I think I would enjoy the Swan Princess as well :)
