I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude.
Hey, It's Okay....
...To be glad Natalie had fun at her first school dance. I'll be writing more about it on Thursday!
...To have gone to see The Lego Batman Movie. It was amusing! There was a preview for Despicable Me 3 before it and we'll be going to see that this summer, naturally.
...To be going to Natalie's Valentine's Day party at school.
...To have gone out on a date with my husband on Monday since he had off. I'll order pizza for Valentine's Day.
...To be grateful that my husband put together the desk in Natalie's room. I'm terrible at putting things together. I mean, I can do it, but it takes me MUCH longer.
...To have not watched the Grammys because The Walking Dead was on. Also, because I really don't watch award shows.
...To have been so thrilled when I saw Shamrock Shakes were back at McDonalds. I think I freaked out the worker because I started jumping up and down when I saw the photo of one flash across the menu. "Is it back? Is it back?" My husband told me to calm down and the worker stared at me with wide eyes and went, "I think...??" They have CHOCOLATE Shamrock Shakes this year and of course I had to try it:
And don't tell me about healthier versions. I don't WANT a healthier version. I want this.

I can't wait to see the Lego Batman movie, but I want to go without the kids LOL.
ReplyDeleteI really like your "Hey It's Okay Post." I don't like to substitute my coffee or drinks to diet ones because it doesn't taste the same.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of the Grammy's, it just doesn't appeal to me.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit of all the award shows I enjoy the Grammy's the most. I don't know if it's because there is new music I haven't heard or if I enjoy the performance but I really enjoy it. Plus I really love James Corden :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to watch the lego movie!!
ReplyDeleteAnd "Hey, it's ok that I spend the day on my pjs and order pizza on a Monday"!
I don't think I've ever watched the Grammys, and I'm still a relatively functioning member of society. I think it's fine.
ReplyDeleteLove this! What a great idea - it is always good to spread the word on things you are thankful for! I love Shamrock shakes! Going to get one soon! I am not a fan of award shows either. I mean it's not like I am personally invested in any of it lol.
ReplyDeleteI may have to create a post that qualifies for your link up now :)
Haha, shamrock shakes!? Whats in it?
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched the Grammy's in 4 years! You didn't miss anything you can't watch online later!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried a shamrock shake before. I want the good stuff when I try it though. No healthier options with extra whip cream.
ReplyDeleteYes, I was watching the Walking Dead as well. I don't watch any awards show anyway, lol!
ReplyDeleteYay! That's awesome to hear that Natalie had a great time at her first dance. I just finished assembling Valentines for my daughters Valentines day party, she was so excited about it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day girl!
ReplyDeleteYou too! Have a great one :)
DeleteI gotta try a shamrock shake. Pizza! I can eat that everyday :)
ReplyDeleteI never tried a shamrock shake. I am scared because its green.
ReplyDeleteAhaha i always enjoy your It's Okay series. Hhmmm that drinks looks tempting.. but i'll pass. Never been a fan of fastfood drinks.
ReplyDeleteAHAHA I have to admit, that chocolate shamrock shake totally has my attention!! Ooh, I kinda want to see the Lego Batman Movie. Teehee... Can't wait to read all about Natalie's first school dance!!
ReplyDeleteam waiting for lego movie..hey it's okey if am gaining weight because of extra cheez pizzaaasss lol
ReplyDeleteI love this concept. Speaks to encouraging oneself. And it is defiantly OK. I love the school dance.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch awards shows either, but I read about them on social media. lol.

ReplyDeletehey its ok... I posted that I'm moving to Texas in a few months and everyone and their mother thought that was a solicitation for advice. It wasn't, I was just letting people know I was leaving Korea.
ReplyDeleteI was dreading the Lego Batman movie, but it turned out to be pretty good! We had pizza yesterday when the kids had their friends round. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI had heard about the different shamrock shakes this year! I've never had one but I got one for Scarlet once and she loved it.
ReplyDeleteWe loved LEGO Batman and in our theater saw the same trailer for Despicable Me 3! I haven't seen the first two yet! We also saw a Cars 3 trailer and it was the first one that was more than a teaser, and Des was SO HAPPY.
Lego Batman?! Count me in. I'm cool with that.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to see the Batman Lego movie soon (when work allows).
ReplyDeleteMy Valentine's (which is now) is spent working. I'll make up for it tomorrow.
What the hell is a shamrock shake?
This makes me want to go get one of those shakes! I agree on not wanting the healthy ones, I want the terrible for you deliciousness!
ReplyDeleteLoving the Hey It's Okay post. We spent our Valentine's Day on sunday.. which is okay I suppose. The pizza part, makes me want to order one as well.

Oooh, the Walking Dead is back on?! I forgot about that show. I need to catch up. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI love these posts; they're so cool because they're totally simple and easy but also have deeper meaning for anyone who's looking. They say at once, "Here's what I've been up to," and "I'm not always perfect, which is cool because I don't have to be."
ReplyDeleteVery self-assured, and that's right up my alley.
I don't watch award shows either or The Walking Dead. I know I'm a weirdo that doesn't like The Walking Dead:).
ReplyDeleteI don't really celebrate Valentine's and a box of pizza would be so cool! I think it's nice that you went to your daughter's party though. I would love to see the Lego Batman movie with my girls.
ReplyDeleteI always get excited when MCD brings out a seasonal item from their menu! Good to know that you're enjoying it as well. I no longer watch TV that much, I also missed the grammys. I always love spending V-Day at home.
ReplyDeleteThose who watch the Grammys like it's the Super Bowl live in a different reality than I do. Also, those who order healthy shakes. What in the heavenly haystacks is that all about?
ReplyDeleteI am smiling reading this post. I love the way you did your write-up. It's a simple one and people can relate on what you wrote so I can also say that, hey, it's ok to just let other's know what you feel. No pretensions. - Anosa
ReplyDeleteI love this idea. It is so nice to sit back and appreciate even the small good things that happen in our lives. We tend to take that for granted - at least I'm guilty of doing so!

It's good to remember all the things to be grateful for. I will have to remember those things as well.
ReplyDeleteI liked this post. I do not watch awards shows either because they are not as great and entertaining as they used to be years ago. I would also rather watch a TV show
ReplyDeleteLol, this is great. I feel you about the Walking Dead vs. the grammy's. TWD is going to win out every time with me.
ReplyDeleteI love this! It is so important to be grateful every day !
ReplyDeleteShamrock shakes is where it's AT girl. Enjoy it xx

My husband and I went out on Monday night too - he had to work late on Valentine's Day! Whatever works for you :)
ReplyDeleteThis has given me an idea of my next blog post. I have never known what link up parties are, being new to the blogging scene, looks like there is a lot to learn, but then again "Hey, it's ok that I don't know what a link up party is" :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved this post! I don't usually watch award shows myself, just love to see the gowns afterwords! :)
ReplyDeleteI really love how you wrote this blog post. Plus link up parties are great!

Never tried it and actually never seen it before. Will definitely try once I see it at a McDonald's close by!
ReplyDeleteHaha, sounds like me when I get excited! My husband is always like "calm down" lol
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun list. Glad you got to get your Shamrock Shake!
