I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude.
Hey, It's Okay....
....to absolutely LOVE the show Victoria on PBS. It's about Queen Victoria and it's superb. I've always loved my English history. I cracked up when she jumped up and down 10 times after sex because she was told she wouldn't conceive. Victoria wasn't thrilled on having kids because her cousin died during childbirth and she didn't have the best relationship with her mother. I'd be worried about the childbirth thing too: I can only do it with drugs. Give me the epidural or a baby isn't coming out of me.
....to have not watched that terrible looking Britney movie on Lifetime. The previews alone made me go, "Is this a parody?" so I passed.
....to be taking my car in for an inspection. In Texas it has to be inspected before you get tags.
...to have not downloaded the latest update for Pokemon Go because I've never played it. It's not my thing.
....to have written a post on annoying things bloggers do here.
....to be headed to Sea World this weekend because they have giveaways and free items for pass holders.
....to not like seafood but still love going to Red Lobster. I pig out on the cheddar bay biscuits and the cajun linguini pasta is amazing.

Your post is very inspiring! You should do what you love and its okay. ❤
ReplyDeleteI love seafood but I could see why you would go for those biscuits! They're the best. In New York you also have to get an inspection before tags, but I found out once I moved to the Bay Area you don't have to do anything but get a smog check here!
ReplyDeleteI honestly could just go for the biscuits. They're so yummy! I haven't tried the cajun chicken before.
ReplyDeleteYummmm, biscuits! I've not tried those... I think I'm missing out.. ;) I played Pokemon Go for like a hot minute, it just drained my battery so gave it up. HA
ReplyDeleteYou do you, girl. It's okay. :)
ReplyDeleteI watched about 0.3 seconds of the Britney bio... you didn't miss anything haha. As for Pokémon Go: not my thing, either. But you know what - it's okay. I love the premise behind this blog post. :)
Christie's Take on Life. xx
I think this is a fun post and can really make you take a deep breath and just be okay! lol I do love seafood, being from Maine...and go figure we don't have Red Lobster up here. I think I'd love those cheddar biscuits! lol
ReplyDeleteThe Red Lobster biscuits are bomb!
ReplyDeleteOh definitely I'll join you watching Queen Elizabeth. She's an icon and i love watching period drama :) And the fashion!
ReplyDeleteOh man! I kept reading the tweets about how awful that Britney movie was. I don't know why they even bothered making it!
ReplyDeleteAhh, I just love your Hey, It's Okay posts! I'm totally dying over here about your "give me the epidural or a baby isn't coming out of me" comment! I had four without drugs...because the thought of an having the epidural put in made me want to run screaming from the hospital!
ReplyDeleteLove this. What a neat idea. Might steal it ;). Btw I totally forgot about the Britney movie (gotta check on demand) and Pokemon Go is awesome.
ReplyDeletei love biscuits . i used to eat them daily. don't get me started on pasta. past is just love.
ReplyDeleteYour posts always put a smile on my face :) And just for the record, that pasta dish looks amazing. I love pasta, but keep a chicken how much i eat of it, because it's not good for my waist line.
ReplyDeleteMy wife enjoyed Victoria on ITV (I assume it's the same one) - I recommend The Crown on Netflix if you like royal stuff.
ReplyDeleteI wish I lived close enough to Sea World to be a pass holder! I used to have Pokemon Go but I deleted it.
ReplyDeleteMy wife really enjoyed "The Crown" on Netflix! I absolutely love those biscuits from Red Lobster, haven't been in soo long!
ReplyDeleteMmm the biscuits from Red Lobster are my jam! We don't have one close so I had to start making them myself.
ReplyDeleteI saw one commercial for that Brittany documentary and thought "that chick doesn't even look like her"... And then completely forgot about it! lol!
ReplyDeleteNow I am wishing I went to Sea World last week when I was in Florida. I have never been but now it sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteI do like seafood, but as a kid I'd love Red Lobster for all the other options they had! So good!!
ReplyDeletethat pasta looks yummyy..i've never been to red lobster , i will plan my trip soon ;)

Seems like you've thought about this a lot. I decided I was ok with what I like and dislike a while ago, so it's not forefront on my mind so much.
ReplyDeleteMy teen was big into Pokeman when it came out. I dont think he plays it anymore
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great show! I would love to see it. I've never played Pokemon Go either, I really loved the cartoons when I was a kid but that's about it. I love truthful posts just like your post yesterday.
ReplyDeleteIts okay living here in South Korea I didn't know they made a movie about Britney Spears. lol Actually I'm more than ok.
ReplyDeleteIt is okay to do weird things. The only catch is love what you do. I am a vegetarian so not that much into sea food. Although I too love Historical fiction shows on tv.
ReplyDeleteI love red lobster! I've only been there once though
ReplyDeleteThat was a pretty fun read! I'm the same way about certain foods. It's definitely okay to eat around what I dislike. LOL! I guess it's okay that I haven't played Pokemon Go since I downloaded. You just reminded me I need to delete it. I was soooo obsessed with it the first two weeks.
ReplyDeleteThat cajun linguini pasta looks creamy and so tempting. I love seafood and I have to visit Red Lobster again.
ReplyDeleteHAHa, I love your it's okay post, they are so funny. My mom watches the Queen Victoria show as well and loves it.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay to get really hungry after reading your post, but it's not okay that I haven't had lunch yet hahah. Nice post, I love reading those.
ReplyDeleteLove this post! I love when Glamour does this, so its fun to see a personal spin on it!

I really like all of your it's okay ideas. I think I'd have to go to Red Lobster too even if I didn't like seafood. My daughter doesn't like seafood but never turns down a trip to eat out there.
ReplyDeleteI never got into Pokemon Go, either. But I do like that it gets my kids active. You have me craving Red Lobster!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't love this more!! It is ok to not be perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love this post so much! Also, I totally go to Red Lobster for their biscuits and their biscuits alone, so you're not the only one haha
ReplyDeleteI skipped the Britney movie, too! It definitely did not look like it was very good. And I do not like seafood either.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nice link-up - great idea! I have to say that even though I don't like seafood overall, I love Red Lobster - we must be twins!
ReplyDeleteI love these posts that you write!! They are so inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! I don't like sea food at all! I haven't downloaded Pokemon Go either and I really have to check out the the Queen Victoria show!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend also doesn't eat seafood, but he loves Red Lobster. He got me hooked on those cheddar bay biscuits so much we make them at home now!
