We love it so much that we've been three times. In 2008, 2013, and 2015.
We'll be there again next month. If funds allowed it, we'd go every year. It's hard to explain how amazing Disney World is. It's difficult to write exactly how it makes me feel. But I do know it makes my son smile, and he's a teenager and doesn't smile much these days.
There are things I must do when I visit Disney World. Maybe one day I'll mix it up more and leave one of these out, but I don't know.
1. Stay on site! There are so many different advantages. Free transportation. Magic bands. Being able to either go to a park early or stay later than everyone else not staying on site. Being able to book dining reservations 180 days out and Fast Passes 60 days out. I highly recommend staying at a Disney hotel. I've stayed at the following: All Stars Music, Port Orleans French Quarter, Port Orleans Riverside. I mean, look how gorgeous:
Plus there were other perks. A free boat shuttle to Disney Springs, for one, plus there was always night time fun for kids. Movie nights and other crafts were set up. We're staying at Port Orleans French Quarter again and they have a pool with a slide.
2. Eat at Be Our Guest. I've eaten there at lunch and dinner. The difference is the selection of food, plus with dinner you get to meet the Beast.
3. Buy custom outfits or shirts for my children. Since my son is older, he'll only wear Disney t-shirts and this will be our last trip where my daughter wears a custom dress. In the future it'll be t-shirts for her as well. But we had fun while it lasted.
(To see more outfits, I have a post on things girls can wear here.)
4. Take the Disney Magic Express from the airport to our Disney hotel. It's another reason to stay on site! Plus it'll take you back to the airport when it's time to go.
5. Pig out! Look, I'm on vacation and I walk a lot, so I don't feel guilty indulging.
We cannot wait to return to Walt Disney World.
Have you ever been?
I want to go tooooo!! It's been so long since I've been!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this! I am thinking about taking my husband here for his birthday this year :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your pics from this year!!
ReplyDeleteI've only been once, it's such a magical place that I would go every year as well.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your photos! I'm a Disneyland girl but any Disney adventure is magical.
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky you have Disneyworld in your country. The closest to us is at Hong Kong Disneyland, and it's still a 2-hour flight away! Your kids are so cute btw!
ReplyDeleteLol like Melissa said above, must be amazing to have Disney Land nearby. They were actually planning to build the first Disney Land in the Philippines in our city(Baguio) but was prevented by our Mayor.
ReplyDeleteI think it is on the benefit side of the Philippines not to have its own DisneyLand. Economically speaking, Philippines is way too young for Disneyland and not yet feasible for this kind of attractions. Singapore is much feasible but still don't allowed by their government.
DeleteBuying some of the outfits is a must. I haven't been to Disney in years, but I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to go.
ReplyDeleteWe ALWAYS eat lunch at Be Our Guest when we go. That turkey sandwich they have there is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, I have only been once and that was years ago. I want to go again and take my daughter who has never been.
ReplyDeleteWe're going the first week in April. This is my 5th trip and my husband's gazillionth (he grew up in FL) but only our second since we had kids. We'll have a 9 year old, a 7 year old, a 4 year old...And a 4 month old. Yeah, we're a little crazy. But we love it. We're driving because we live in GA but we are staying on site, in the cabins at Ft Wilderness, for a little more room and the option to feel less guilty about all the noise we're going to make. Also you can drive up to those, so it's less schlepping of the suitcases which is a plus for me! I can't wait. Disney is one of those places where I just feel so relaxed. Everybody who works there seems like they just can't do enough to make your vacation as nice as possible and it makes it great. I love it. I can't wait to see my 4 year old's face, she was only 18 months old the last time we went and she is thrilled.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! I haven't been to Disney World since I was a kid, but we grew up only 20 minutes from Disneyland and we would go often. Even as an adult, it is truly a magical place!
ReplyDeleteWe just got back from WDW...and everyone got sick. We definitely didn't get a great experience. I wouldn't know where to start if we could have done it all up. That place is so overwhelming. I did love extra magic hours. That was totally worth staying on property! We didn't try any restaurants so that would be something I would want to look into in the future. I hope you all have an amazing time!
ReplyDeleteWe definitely walked a ton while there which makes the eating feel less indulgent! lol!
ReplyDeleteWe went to Disneyland Paris back in 99 and whilst I enjoyed it I don't have any major urges to return. Although they now own Marvel & Star Wars maybe there is something for me...
ReplyDeleteI think you know my answer to that question! I already can't wait to get back, and it's only been a month since we were there. I've never done #2 but I wholeheartedly agree with all.
ReplyDeleteAnd pigging out is a good plan because with all the walking, Disney calories don't seem to stick. Magical!
I agree. Magic is exuded there.
ReplyDeleteI´ve never been there, really cool pictures, you had a really great family time! thank you for sharing your experience
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Disney in years! It looks like you guys had a blast, and such wonderful tips for those planning a trip!
ReplyDeleteI so love Disney! It can be pricey so we dont go as often as we like
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of these! I live like an hour ish from Disney and we love going! It's funny, I actually dress up in a princess dress with my daughter.
ReplyDeleteCute! I remember going to Disney World as a kid, there's always a lot to do there! I like your review on things to do!
ReplyDeleteParis Disney is my favorit must say.
ReplyDeleteYour children's happiness explains it all. You relish being there because your children love it. Every mum's happiness is their children's smile of glee.
ReplyDeleteWhat would you say it's the best season to go?! I have NEVER been there (nope, not kidding) but would really love to go.
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Disney world but seeing your post I really want to go. What is the best time to visit it?
ReplyDeleteSadly I've never been to Disney world. It's pretty sad but I love your tips! My favorite has to be pig out, that's the best part of any vacation! When I plan my Disney vacation for my kids I will have to come back and write these down!
ReplyDeleteWe had been to Disney in Japan..A lovely and exciting atmosphere that tempts us to plan a trip always again. Have to plan one in USA too. Love to visit!
ReplyDeleteI've never been! But I'm dying to go! I've only been to Disneyland in CA. I have the travel itch and am hoping maybe next year to go to Disney world!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have been, do go often. We live in St Pete so just over an hour away and 2 years ago we finally decided, and budgeted enough, to get annual passes. We love Magic Kingdom. Be Our Guest is on our to do for my oldest daughters birthday this year, she has always been a fan of Beauty and The Beast. Hope you have a great, and magical, trip!
ReplyDeleteWould love to go again. I haven't been since 4th grade. It was a dream. Do you drive?
ReplyDeleteHeck no, too far! We fly :)
DeleteI agree that Disney is a magical place although I always seem to be disappointed by the food, like this Christmas we had lunch at the Wilderness Lodge. Loved the ketchup game but not wild about their "famous" family style meal.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photographs, i love them. We are going to Disneyland in March and i am very excited, it seems to be lots of fun and rides.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an amazing trip planned. I have been there before but I've never gone with my daughter. I'm trying to plan a trip back there at some point.
ReplyDeleteOh i loveeeeee to visit disney! Never been in this disney so i wanted to go here now with my kids.
ReplyDeleteI've been twice, once with the kids, once just me and my husband. I enjoyed both times, but probably more when it was just the two of us. lol
ReplyDeletebeast and the beauty. your kid is beautiful. looks fun to be there
ReplyDeleteI feel you, I will never get tired of visiting Disney! I am always fascinated of the place. Still and always be a magical place. -Anosa
ReplyDeleteI love Disney! I've only ever been to the one in Tokyo since that's the closest one in Asia. I think it's a must to go to regardless if you have a child or not.
ReplyDeleteI have never been sadly. However it has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid and I am hoping that one day I will be able to go!
ReplyDeleteWe just went to Disney (and the Disney cruise) a few weeks ago! We had the greatest time ever and it was the best. I loved the nice vegan options they had for us and the rides were spectacular. Make sure to go to the new Frozen ride - it's breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteWhen you walk so much then pigging it is a must.I have sdream of visiting one day.The food pics look delicious

ReplyDeletewhat a great to-do list. I have always wanted to go to Disney World but still haven't made it.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Disney but that food is reason enough for me to go one day! The mousse looks absolutely mouth-watering!
ReplyDeleteIt is one of my dreams to be able to go to Disney land! Now that I have a little one I think I will wait until she is a bit older to really remember and understand everything :)
ReplyDeleteOmg Be Our Guest is my favorite!!!!! Hope you have a blast on your trip!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to visit Disney! Crossing fingers in the future. Still have to wait till my little one is at the right age to appreciate everything for it to be more worth it. I wish we have one here too, though. You have a great must do list. Would like to try them too.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to make the most out of your Disney experience especially if you have kids. This is awesome. I love that you try to do as much as you can when you visit!
ReplyDeleteI love Disney too! So cute that you dress the kids up and it would be wonderful to stay on site. And definitely don't feel guilty about indulging. Thats what holidays are for!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I visit Walt Disney World, I feel like a little gal who still believes that all dreams come true. The Magic Kingdom is my favorite theme park and I love its fireworks. Everything is larger than life when you talk about Disney!
ReplyDeletei am really excited about visiting disney one day. i live so close but still haven't went. looks like so much fun
ReplyDeleteHow I wished Disney is just an hour or two away from our place. I'm sure anybody would have a magical experience in that wonderful place.
ReplyDeleteWe are planning a trip to WDW soon and I couldn't be more excited. One place I want to visit is Magic Kingdom! I think I am more excited than my kids.
ReplyDeleteThe perk of living in Florida is I can go often. I have annual passes so I try to go once a month. However, in a few weeks I will be going with my sister-in-law and my niece who is a senior in high school. It will be fun to visit the parks without small children.
ReplyDeleteWhen visiting Walt Disney World, be sure to experience iconic attractions like Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Haunted Mansion. Explore all four parks, try unique snacks, meet beloved characters, and watch the evening fireworks.
