I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude.
Hey, It's Okay....
....to have enjoyed Mother's Day. I got to spend it with my mother.
....to be enjoying the show FEUD, which is about Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. I looked up more info and apparently when Joan died, Bette was quoted as saying "You should never say bad things about the dead, only good. Joan Crawford is dead. Good."
....to have tons of books to read. I love it! So far I've finished One Perfect Lie (awesome) and Talking As Fast As I Can. (Fabulous! Love Lauren Graham!) I'm in the middle of Everything, Everything.
....to not know what to think after the latest episode of Grey's Anatomy. Without giving away too much, I'll just say, "Did she really go out with a bang, or did she make it?"
....to have watched Now and Then with my daughter. I loved the movie when I was younger and I knew she would too. And she did! This weekend we might be watching My Girl. It's her first time. It's my 3897234 time.

I have been wanting to check out FUED. I was wondering if it was any good or not, so now I think I will hit up on demand and watch it.
ReplyDeleteOmg I love Everything Everything!!
ReplyDeleteLol. The Mommie Dearest thing still creeps me out.
ReplyDeleteHappy (belated) Mother's Day! I have a ton of books I'm waiting to read from my local library.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you've started this list! It's always nice to reflect on things and release you don't have to feel guilty, embarrassed or sad about certain things. I myself love reading and always seem to have a growing list of books to read - but that's okay!
ReplyDeleteGood to know the impact reading those tons of books has on you. Great writeup you have up there.
ReplyDeleteWhoa.. Its OKAY to have those krispy kreme donuts rights now;)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a post I think everybody has a pile of books to get through! I currently have 6 I'm desperate to read
ReplyDeleteHow are you enjoying Everything, Everything? I was curious about the book since the movie is coming out soon! And I can totally relate to your thought about Grey's Anatomy!

ReplyDeleteI remember loving Now and Then.
I used to love Grey's Anatomy BUT... The show it's so good that it got me all anxious and made me eat like crazy. I stopped.

Mother's day was crazy for me. We spent the whole day picking up different orders so that we could have a quiet dinner at home. Lol. It wasn't really what I would call a relaxing one. /sigh
ReplyDeleteI think it's awesome that you got to spend time with your Mom on Mother's day! FEUD sounds like a good show to watch. I've never heard of it before.
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of Feud, I had no idea that Joan Crawford and Bette Davis were feuding, I will have to research more into why x
ReplyDeleteI love spending mother's day with my mom. She was the best person to spend it with! I think it's great that you celebrated with your mother.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely ok that you have enjoyed Mother's Day. And aside from that, its always ok to have a ton of books that you want to read. Having more is always better there I think. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love how you are watching those older movies with Natalie - I bet she just loves that! I can't wait to do that with my own when she's old enough!
ReplyDeleteEverything Everything was a cute (quick!) read. I read it in like 2 hours. You knew it could only end one of two ways. Grey's def got me! I thought it was the season finale, so I was surprised we will find out this week. We'll see though. Something else has to happen though. Otherwise it's not nearly as dramatic as past season finales.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Now and Then as a kid.... and as an adult. My Girl is another favorite.
ReplyDeleteVery creative post! I haven't heard of some of these books. Will need to check them out.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to share things with our kids that we've loved so long. I was like that with Grease. 1 of my 4 liked it too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love watching a movie with my daughter .It's good fun.I am going to do the Hey it's okay this week
