I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
Hey, It's Okay....
.....to be taking Natalie Trick-or-Treating at 6 on Halloween. We usually go until close to 8. I'll at least get 10,000 steps because we walk. I don't understand these people that take vehicles down each street. Park it. Walk.
.....to hope it doesn't rain on Halloween. There's a 50% chance of it. Oh no! But we'll still keep going if it does rain just like we do when we're at Disney World.
....to be picking up a red balloon for Natalie to have when we Trick-or-Treat since she's this:
.....to not understand why all the blogs seem to state a tiny monkey on your finger is the new "it" toy this year. I showed Natalie and she was all, "That looks freaky. I don't want something attached to my finger like that. How am I supposed to write?" However, she DOES want those LOL Dolls (and I got her the giant one for Christmas.)
....to have tried out Scooped, the cookie dough place that just opened at the North Star Mall. On this tray we got the pumpkin, cake batter, and chocolate chip dough. So delicious.

I love Natalie's costume. She looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteReally wonderful and meaningful post. The way you putting things into reality is more awesome. Keep this up.
ReplyDeleteThat cookie dough loves delicious! Natalie seems to be enjoying herself too!
ReplyDeleteAmber,
ReplyDeleteIce cream is something I'm always okay with! Yum!!! We always took our kids out Trick or Treating before it got dark. It just isn't safe to be on the streets after night falls. Sure, it's a fun thing to do but when you live in a city then you always have to be on guard for traffic. Y'all keep safe this Halloween and enjoy the fun. Natalie is sure to put the creepy in Halloween with her costume!
Here, lights start going off by 7:30, so anyone who waits until the end of the night is out of luck. Official hours are 6-8, but most people run out by then.
ReplyDeleteI love that Natalie chooses scary costumes! That is what Halloween is about! Man, I want to try that cookie dough. It looks so good! Shelby is into those LOL dolls too!
ReplyDeleteHalloween night it seems to always rain where we live. Many people do drive because of the weather. There are certain areas people go to because they are so kid friendly. Older people like to be hit up early so everyone knows to go to their houses early.
ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to rain tonight here as well. No worries, the kids will trick or treat for about an hour before heading to their favorite haunted house and then to Sonic for 50 cent corn dogs. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteIs really need to see that your daughter is picking out such a scary costume. I would be scared of that even as an adult! It is obvious you guys really get into Halloween and it looks like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteEEK! I really hope I don't come across clowns with red balloons tonight. That will definitely creep me out. Have a great Halloween!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine there may well be a few bout this year.
DeleteI'm a sucker for cookie dough. I'm hoping to get a lot of steps in tonight, as I'm going trick or treating with my son's family!
ReplyDeleteyour daughter looks so cute in costume..i hope she must be enjoying halloween day.
ReplyDelete6 p.m. is where its at...8 p.m. is just about bed time for me (the old lady!) She looks like she enjoyed her halloween!
ReplyDeleteHave an awesome time trick or treating this year - I hope you get lots of goodies!
ReplyDeleteThat dough. Is it like real dough or ice cream with dough flavor? It's weird we don't have such a thing here...
ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to rain here for Halloween as well! That stinks!! I hope y'all get some good candy before the rain gets too bad!!
ReplyDeleteI love this! There's a lot to be okay with so long as you're not hurting anyone or yourself. xo, Suzanne
ReplyDeleteI have said prior I love this blog post. I am okay about everything. My family, friends, health. Everything is good ")
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to give Scooped a try. It looks so delicious. I like to start out trick or treating around 6 and usually go till about 8. It is a great way to get in your steps for the day.
ReplyDeleteLOVE her costume!!! And the ice cream, OMG! Birthday Cake Remix from Cold Stone is the only cake batter ice cream I've had, and it's to die for.. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteA cookie dough restaurant? That is just too cool. I want one near me now.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand people who drive and park, just walk it's not that hard.
ReplyDeleteWow, I wish I had a cookie dough place near me! Yum!
ReplyDeleteAnd, nice costume! That's definitely a scary one!
Hope the treat and treat went fabulous. Of course, ice cream is always okay! Yummm!
ReplyDeleteI hope you didn't get any rain this year! We did last year and it was awful going trick or treating!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a fun and safe night! Hopefully the rain held off for all the little ones!
ReplyDeleteI have never understood why so many people are afraid of clowns. Great costume and with the balloons just made it over the top.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who is terrified of clowns, your daughter's costume would give me nightmares. :D But isn't that what Halloween is all about? We always went out right at 6, too, and stayed out until 8. We walked. You actually hit more houses if you walk!
ReplyDeleteOmg your child as Pennywise is creepy! We went trick o treating at 6pm too...I am not a mom and my friend didnt know but is it the new norm to go trick o treating at 4pm? We had no idea.
ReplyDeleteAhhh yes please to the cookie dough!!! I hate the drivers too! It's definitely a pet peeve of mine. We start at 6 and finish at before 8.
ReplyDelete6pm sounds like the perfect time to go for Halloween festivities. Otherwise you'd be out all night! That's super tiring.
ReplyDeleteYes always to cookie dough and red balloons and the Halloween spirit.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a clue about tiny monkeys on fingers?!
Your daughter picked a great costume choice. I love the non-girly costumes. With the movie remake of IT this was timely.
ReplyDeleteHa! I thought I was the only one thinking about those that ride car to trick or treat. It's a lost opportunity to catch some walking if you ride.
ReplyDeleteIt rained on us during trick-or-treating. Guess who quit early? Not us. We did enjoy ourselves, though.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like overall you had a good Halloween. I was worried it was going to rain here too, thankfully it waited until today.
ReplyDeleteHer costume looked scary and I love the red balloons. love the cookie dough.
ReplyDeleteI'd have tried that new place too. :) Halloween is fun for the kids. They do love to get dressed up.
ReplyDeleteI love her scary costume totally got the Halloween vibe going. Walking is good for your health though I agree with you finding it weird to use cars unless of course there is a good reason for it.
ReplyDeleteI have not heard about the little guy on the finger. That does sound like it would be a little but hindering.
ReplyDeleteTRICK OR TREAT has been known by the kids every Halloween. Natalie's costume is the bomb! For sure its really scary.
ReplyDeleteHaha I love how Natalie is not afraid to embrace the scary! She looks fabulous and that ice cream looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI love the clown costume and the bright red balloons are perfect for it! I dressed as a witch to walk my dog (who would not dress for the occasion) around the neighborhood. The kids love him and he loves them! It was chilly here but thankfully no rain.
ReplyDeleteI really like the link-up theme and may have to hop along!
that's a pretty scary costume...lmao. I love it. I'm sure she scared some kids that night...haha
ReplyDeleteThat’s an amazing costume! I would like to have one too for my gf.
ReplyDeletethe pumpkin, cake batter, and chocolate chip dough looks So delicious.I like the concept of Hey its ok ...creative mind
ReplyDeleteYou always provide such a fun read! And your daughter's cookie dough looks super yummy. Now I'mm craving both ice cream AND cookie dough! Dangerous...
