I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
Hey, It's Okay....
....to be so glad that the food poisoning has passed. I went to my daughter's school carnival and had something from a food truck. The next day, it was terrible. I practically lived in the bathroom for hours on end. Have you ever gotten food poisoning?
....to be tempted to take the kids to see A Quiet Place this weekend. My daughter especially loves movies like that. I tend to jump more.
....to have bought The Greatest Showman, because the songs and the story are fabulous! You must see it.
....to be taking Natalie to Target on Friday since she has it off thanks to Fiesta. It's a Texas thing. You can go downtown and see parades, but it's too crowded, so we'll be at Target.
.....to be bummed to hear that R. Lee Ermey died. My husband made me watch Full Metal Jacket a number of times. He used R. Lee Ermey as inspiration when he became a MTI. I'm joking. You aren't allowed to talk to the trainees like that these days.

Love this! I need to watch Greatest Showman on Earth and yes it is a Texas thing. We practically live at Target!
ReplyDeleteI am so so glad that the food poisoning has passed! There is nothing worse.
ReplyDeleteArgh, food poisoning is the worst! I'm glad you're on the mend!! I've not seen The Greatest Showman, will check it out!!
ReplyDeleteI have not seen the Greatest Showman. But sure I will it out. Thank god that you are fine now.
ReplyDeleteOOH sorry for the food poisoning, I know how awful it feels.
ReplyDeleteMy son informed me he had passed and of course had to watch Full Metal Jacket again. My husband had food poison once. Almost had to take him the the ER, not fun.
ReplyDeleteI think I had food poisoning once, either that or a really bad stomach virus that a lot of people I know also had!
ReplyDeleteI really need to see The Greatest Showman! I have heard so many good things!
ReplyDeleteI have not seen The Greatest Showman yet! I have heard nothing but good reviews about it and I cannot wait to see it myself.
ReplyDeleteI've only had actual food poisoning once that I know of and it was absolutely terrible. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Glad you're feeling better. I haven't seen The Greatest Showman!!! I really want to though. Also, I am sad about R. Lee Ermey! He had this cool TV show for a while where he talked about military things (weapons, vehicles, etc) and I loved it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you're feeling better. I've gotten food poisoning before and it really sucks.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the greatest showman this past weekend. It was so great, even my 7 year old step daughter loved it!
ReplyDeleteFood poisioning is awful. I had it once after eating chinese at the mall, AWFUL. I have also yet to see the greatest showman. I hear its amazing but need to check it out - Jeanine
ReplyDeleteNice read. I havent watched greatest showman. You made it sound interesting. Will watch.
ReplyDeleteFood poisoning is not fun. I had it once and I was sick all night. So glad you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend that was in the Marines. He said yesterday that Ermey was considere a Marine institution when he was going through.
ReplyDeleteI FINALLY saw Greatest Showman and I can say that until you find yourself singing the songs randomly throughout the day, you haven't really seen it. Zendaya rocks.
ReplyDeleteLike Six Time Mommy, I had it after Chinese food at the mall food court. I also had caffeine that day, which can set me off. I was supposed to go to a party that night, and let's say it didn't happen.
ReplyDeleteThere wasn't barfing, though. It was all.. the other thing. TMI!
Sorry to hear about the food poisoning. That must of been so draining. I've never heard of Full Metal Jacket. I'll check it out.
ReplyDeleteOh no I am so sorry to hear about the food poisoning, but so glad you feel better. It is such an awful thing to get. I have to admit I've never watched Full Metal Jacket.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better.. Bill and I both had food poisoning riding our bikes back from the Sturgis rally. OMG, stopping at every exit. I can't wait to see A Quiet Place! It won't be in the theatre though, my patience for seeing a movie with the general public has long run out.. :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry about the food poisoning, I'm glad it has passed. I think the parade sounds awesome but if it's too crowded, I would also rather just go to Target or stay at home. I can believe R. Lee Ermey has died!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I actually bought The Greatest Showman the other day and we've watched it at least 5 times already.
ReplyDeleteFood poisoning is seriously the worst in the world. I am so sad to hear about Robert Ermey; really great guy.
ReplyDeleteMy husband was talking about the "Quiet Place "movie the other day. He said we should watch it in a big screen.
ReplyDeleteFood poisoning is the worst! I'm glad it's all better now. I love The Greatest Showman and I think it's great that you're getting a copy. It's SO worth it!
ReplyDeleteUgh... food poisoning is the WORST! Hope you're 100% better by now! We ate some bagged romaine lettuce last week before we saw that it was recalled for e coli, and I have been on edge ever since, even though I'm sure we would know by now if something was wrong. Blah!
ReplyDeleteOh so sorry about the death, that's just terrible. And food poisoning too, not a good week. Maybe you'll have fun at Target since you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteNice idea fora link up. I'm so glad you are feeling better after food poisoning. That really sucks. I did some case studies on food poisoning outbreaks in school and it was always interesting how something so simple could start it.
ReplyDeleteExcellent viewpoint. I love where you are coming from with this. Thanks for the encouraging words!!
ReplyDeleteI love a good trip to Target! It sounds like fun to me.
ReplyDeleteI want to see Greatest Showman again, we saw it in the theater and I loved the soundtrack too!
I like these types of post. I totally agree with you on most of these! I want to see 'a quiet place' as well. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that the food poisoning has passed! I haven't seen The Greatest Showmen but maybe i will check it out.
ReplyDeleteAww happy to hear there's no more food poisoning symptoms. They're the worse! I absolutely enjoyed The Greatest Showman, especailly the soundtrack.
ReplyDeleteIt is not just the big things in life that are worth celebrating, is the seemingly Monday and everything else too! These too are part of our living (and I’m REALLY glad that food poisoning has passed!!) ☺️ Xo, Evelyn, PathofPresence
ReplyDeletefood poisoning is horrible. a little late but for the future try activated charcoal. it is great. I am glad that the symptoms are over. target is so much fun and a great place to get little things here and there.
ReplyDeleteYou just reminded me that Greatest Showman is out on DVD and we wanted to grab it. It sounds like the perfect movie to watch this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThis is a short post, but I love your theme! It's like snippets of a journal.
ReplyDeleteFood poisoning is the worst! I hate being sick. I really want to see A Quiet Place, I think it will be awesomely scary!
ReplyDeleteI overcome food poisoning with the green coconut. Sometimes the incident happens altough we have done everything carefully.
ReplyDeleteI love these posts. The Greatest Showman was so good and inspiring.
ReplyDeleteIt always feels great to let it all out in these kinds of posts! Maybe, I'll do one of these again! :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are over the sickness. I have had food poisoning and it was horrible. The bathroom was defiantly my friend!
