Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

....to have not been impressed with the Scandal finale. It seemed rushed and bizarre. Rowan should be in jail for all he did. I'm just baffled.

....to have enjoyed A Quiet Place. I shared my review here.

....to have tried to get us tickets for the new Avengers movie but the theaters were sold out. Boo!

....to hope my husband and I survive with him being off work for a week. He had a bunch of leave saved up that he had to take. I'm used to doing things my way, and on my own schedule, and suddenly he's there. I think we'll be okay. We are going on some lunch dates!

....to not be going to any of the Fiesta festivities downtown. Fiesta is basically a party San Antonio throws, but there are just too many people. This is as close to Fiesta as I'll get, thanks to HEB products. (That's a homemade tart in the middle!)

  1. Who made that homemade tart and can I have 30 of them?
We have tickets to Avengers for Friday at 4 and Scarlet doesn't want to miss track so you can sit in her seat!

  2. I'm really sad to hear A Quiet Place didn't live up to expectations, I was hoping it would be a great date night movie if me and the hubs actually ever manage to sneak away. Also as a Northern Texan I really wish HEB would get their act together and open some stores up here, because as awesome as it is I can't justify driving over an hour to the nearest one.

  3. OOOH you just made me crave a tart now, looks so good.

  4. Yeah, I was not impressed with Scandal either. After investing 6 years watching the show, I felt really let down.

  5. I was a bit disappointed with the Scandal finale as well. I expected a lot more wow and pizzazz, I kept waiting for something to happen.

  6. There should have been a bigger twist in the scandal finale!

  7. I want to see A Quiet Place. I've heard it's amazing

  8. I really like this list. I would use this tactic to help myself not feel stressed out about anything as long as I could come up with a list a things I was okay with :)

  9. This made me remember that I haven't gotten tickets to Avengers yet. I hope to catch it next week. Scandal looks like a good series. I'll check it out.

  10. I hate to admit this but, I am seeing Avengers tonight!

  11. That hurt looks so good! I would like to order about 15 of them and I might share one of them with my family LOL!

  13. Yeah, I was not impressed with Scandal with it's second season.... So I'm not surprise the finale was a complete let down. Have you watched Billions? You should definitely check it out :)

  14. A Quiet Place sounds good, I am sorry to hear you didn't get tickets to the new Avengers movie. Boo.

  15. I wonder if my wife felt like that when I began my SAHD adventure. Lunch dates are a great way to reconnect or stay connected. Lucky for me, my kids have no desire for the avengers.

  16. Got our tix for Avengers. Granted it's also the day we're heading to see The Lion King play. This weekend is going to be so busy. OMG!

  17. This reminded me watch some recaps so I can remember what happened when I watch the new Avengers. Haha, interesting post!

  18. I hope you're able to get tickets to the new Avengers movie. It really sucks when the sell out so fast.

  19. I know what you mean about having the husband home for a week. I love mine but when I am trying to work, he distracts me.

  20. Awwwwe yes it is okay!! Thank you for sharing. This is something to help motivate me in the future

  21. I haven't watched the scandal show but I've seen it literally EVERYWHERE. Also, I totally understand about opting out of parties, I just get way too anxious :(

  22. Lol at your husband being off a week. I can relate. I'm glad I missed the Scandal finale, sounds like I didn't miss much.

  23. I have never watched this show. I am currently watching Doctor Poster and I like how it is going.

  24. Enjoy having your hubby home all week. It will probably be weird, but then you'll get used to it. My husband works 12-hour shifts, so he has lots of full days off. It's still weird! Too bad we couldn't have had all of those days together when we first got married--before we got used to being alone!

  25. OMG, I read that as, "He had a bunch of leaves saved up that he had to rake." LOL It's been a long day. I think I'll really like A Quiet Place. I just hate going to the theater, which is never a quiet place.

  26. Fiesta sounds fun, but I don't like large crowds, so I would be skipping it too. But that homemade tart looks tasty.

  27. I heard so many people were disappointed in the Scandal finale!

  28. My husband has been home for two weeks due to back issues. He let his boss know he’ll be back NEXT Tuesday-after his follow up doctors appointment Monday. It’s tough having him home 24/7 since he usually works so much. I make a point of s getting out for a bit everyday. Exercise for him but also helps keep my sanity.

  29. Thank you for sharing this. I have been telling myself the same thing --- that it's okay when things don't go a certain way. I am sorry the movie was the way it was.

  30. Thats just how we can end it by saying "hey its okay"

  31. I stopped watching scandal after the last season. I just couldn't get into it anymore but I did hear a lot of my friends were super disappointed! Which is sad, it was such a great show! - Jeanine

  32. Hey, it's okay... that I am waiting school vacation more than my kids do :)!!!

  33. Avengers is playing this week? I have got to let my husband know about this.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Oh, what a bummer about the Avengers tix. It’s okay bc I bet seeing it another is just fine ... plus, I love the idea of watching it in the comfort of your own home

  35. I love this "Hey, it's ok!" idea! As I have gotten older, one of the magical things I've learned is, almost all of the stuff we stress about is really OK. Whenever I have an issue with something these days, I try to ask myself, "Will I even remember or care about this a month (or a year) from now?" That really helps me put it into perspective.

  36. I haven't seen any episode of Scandal but I have heard mixed reviews on it. Side note did you make that poptart? I have been wanting to make homemade poptarts and that looks so festive and delish! I love this "it's okay" post.

  37. FIesta sounds like my type of party! I did see the finale of Scandal but I heard it was underwhelming.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm with you on the Fiesta! Sometimes it's just more fun and way less stressful to celebrate at home!

  39. What a wonderful post! I'm glad you enjoyed 'A Quiet Place,' I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing! :)
