I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
Hey, It's Okay....
....to have not done much over Memorial Day weekend. We did say a thank you to the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom, because I feel it's important for kids to know why we there is a Memorial Day.
....to not be watching The Bachelorette. I can't stomach it anymore. Granted, I do watch Real Housewives and Teen Mom, which aren't much better.
....to really need to start making lists when I go to the grocery store. Otherwise I come home with lots of cookies and chips.
....to hope I don't melt this week. It's supposed to get up to 105! I need to stock up on ice cream. I tend to get whiney when it's incredibly hot. Ice cream helps.
....to have taken Natalie out for a girls day when the boys went to see Deadpool. We went to Olive Garden and tried their new Apple Fizz drink. It tastes like an apple Jolly Rancher with cotton candy on top.

Same on the grocery store! :'D And that drink looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI am going to assume that drink had a healthy amount of alcohol? Otherwise, that is a terrible miss at the OG.
ReplyDeleteTrue, true we all need these reminders!
ReplyDeleteI might do one post and link up :)
Oh my, that drink looks amazing! Hope your boys enjoyed Deadpool 2, personally I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI've actually never seen the Bachelor or Bachelorette, so I won't be watching for sure LOL. Sometimes a quiet long weekend at home is just what the doctor ordered!
ReplyDeleteGirls day is always fun and much needed. I could have done more over the long weekend. But nope I didn’t.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched the Bachelorette. I just can't get into those type shows. A girls day is always fun and I'm overdue taking one with my daughters.
ReplyDeleteLiked the way your wrote the post. I totally agree with you about making a list for grocery store, can never understand what had been going through my mind when I buy some stuff.
ReplyDeleteI need a list for everything. It's like if i do not write it down it won't get into my brain which is filled with so much other "stuff".
ReplyDeleteI watched one season of the Bachelor and that was enough for me haha. Great post though, I need to make a list like this!
ReplyDeleteMy grocery problem is forgetting to buy things and needing to go back the next day!
ReplyDeletei love this! I also have a post on my fb that says " Its okay not to be okay" we got tired but we dont quit.
ReplyDeleteThe Bachelorette is not my thing. I'm a Real Housewives of WHEREVER kinda' chick. I watch all of the Real Housewives series. It's my guilty tv pleasure .
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh 105! I would most definitely melt - get that ice cream in quick!
ReplyDeleteThe Apple Fizz drink looks yummy. Have to make a list for the grocery store or else I’ll come home with everything that I don’t need.
ReplyDeleteI never watched Bachelorette :) I am not into those kind of shows :) Making a List of things to do is essential for me :)
ReplyDeleteWe walked in a parade yesterday and I'm still tired. I've never watches those three reality shows, just not a fan of them.
ReplyDeleteAnd so am I guilty enough I watch all Real Housewives too haha! We didn't do much yesterday coz it raining. But we hike last Sunday like we normally do.
ReplyDeleteThat drink looks amazing! And we made our first list for the grocery store this week and it made a HUGE difference!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun drink for olive garden to have! I do not watch any of those shows but I do have to say that I watch the Jersey Shore way to frequently.
ReplyDeleteThat apple fizz drink looks so yummy. What a cute idea to do a girls luncheon at Olive Garden. I love their food.
ReplyDeleteScarlet would like that drink! She asked me how old she'd have to be to see Deadpool 2 and I pulled a number randomly. 13. ha! I have no idea. I'll have to see it first.
ReplyDeleteWe just did a parade on Monday because I wanted them to see what it was all about, and not just the candy the marchers throw.
It's a great reminder to remember that It's Ok regardless of what happens. Thank you for that reminder!
ReplyDeleteWhen we have some time to spare, I take my daughter out for a walk or a movie date too. But if we are home we put each others make up on.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched even the first season of The Bachelorette! Are there a lot of dramas involved?
ReplyDeleteI like the concept of this post. It's awesome to take a break and tell ourselves it's ok!

You sound like me when I go grocery shopping without a list in hand. I think that apple fizz drink is a nice treat especially if it's so hot out!
ReplyDeleteI am the same way when it comes to grocery shopping. I sure do love my chips haha.
ReplyDeleteI am glad I am not the only one who can't stand the Bachelor/Bachelorette shows! I don't know how so many people still watch them!!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about the Bachelor/Bachelorette shows. I probably only seen one episode ever. That Apply fizz drink looks so good.
ReplyDeleteIt was 90 and I wanted to melt! I could only imagine 105! Ice Cream would be my best friend too!
ReplyDeleteCan see you had a quite and enjoyable long weekend. Summers are indeed unbearable without loads of ice cream and it is okay to gorge on ice cream in summer.
ReplyDeleteThat drink looks amazing and how I miss the Olive Garden. It used to be in Canada but alas, no more. Ice cream and the kiddie pool is all I need to cool down!
ReplyDeleteHey!! I'm gonna definitely need to do one too! Its OKAY! :) The drink & olive garden will be on mine too haha :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa. Not watching the Bachelorette is blasphemy! I haven't watched Teen Mom in forever but I do like it!
ReplyDeleteAll of those I am fine with, including not watching the Bachelorette . . . not that I'm a big fan of reality TV in general. But that drink in Olive Garden . . ?!?!?! We will have to be going this weekend.
