Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to be both excited and dreading about school starting on Monday. I do love my quiet time because I can get so much done, but it's my son's senior year, so I also want to cry daily. Also, none of us are morning people so waking up super early is not fun. Normally I've been up at 9 AM and the kids roll out about 11 AM. So it'll be an adjustment.

.....to also be dreading the homework. I have to get on my daughter to finish it. She loves to procrastinate, but then again, so does her mother.

....to wish we were going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party this year. We got to go last year and had a blast. And yup, Disney World had its first one last week! They start early.

....to have already checked out Spirit Halloween. The store was already open so my daughter and I had a blast checking everything out. We're so ready for the fall.

.....to think this bracelet from SheKnewSheCould.com is fabulous. My daughter is wearing it. The triangle represents a mountain which reminds us that we can do it, one step at a time. Never give up. I tell my daughter this often. I also tell her if all else fails, there's chocolate. You can get one here

  2. It's okay to be excited for Halloween and Thanksgiving! I went to the store the other day and they had everything ready for those days. I'm so tempted to buy a lot of cute decoration. I always get super excited with halloween celebrations. Loved your bracelet btw. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I am curious to see how you adjust to their new schedule!! Right now I am dealing with kind of being on edge every morning, because my son (who's only 7 months) is slightly unpredictable with his morning wake ups. I can't even imagine what it will be like when he actually sleeps in until 11am like your kids, haha!

  9. I don't know how you do homework as a mom. I would hate trying to make my kid do it because I am such a procrastinator.

  10. We're skipping MNSSHP this year. We did it one time before, and it was a lot of fun but it is expensive.

  12. It was always sad, at least for me as a parent, when the end of summer came and it was time to send everyone back to school. Summers fly by way too fast! But like you, I am now looking forward to visiting Halloween stores and welcoming the new season!

  20. Glad I'm not the only one wanting to hit up Disney's Halloween this year (and every year, actually lol). For me, this week it's okay to just rest. I am fighting off a chest infection and the house has went on the wayside, but getting better is the main goal, so at the end of the day, it's really okay.
