The Baked Bear Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich Review

Ice cream. I love it. I also love cookies. And brownies. When you can combine these with ice cream, I am a fan. Also, I am even more of a fan when sprinkles are involved.

Enter The Baked Bear.

It recently opened near us and I knew I wanted to try it. There's ice cream. A variety of cookies. Brownies. SPRINKLES. Plus more!


The Baked Bear is located at La Cantera. It's a small space, but there is seating outside. It's open from 12-10 on select evenings and 11 on others.

You get to pick out what cookies you want. You can do different cookies! For example, I did the gooey butter cookie and a chocolate chip. Tom went with a brownie ice cream sandwich. If ice cream isn't your thing, you can just do cookies and brownies. Or if you just want ice cream, you can do that too! There are also cookie or brownie bowls.

You can add the following to your treat, as much as you want!

I went for the bear batter ice cream, which tasted basically like birthday cake batter. There was brownie bits inside. I also got the sprinkles, because duh.

Tom went with the brownies and mint ice cream.

So how did everything taste? Amazing. The cookies were fresh, the brownies were warm and chocolate-y.

Yup, they will warm up your treat. You'd think it would cause the ice cream to immediately melt, but no, it's some special press they have.

You can eat the cookie sandwich like a sandwich, but mine started to fall apart towards the middle. I was thankful for the spoons!


Will we be back? Heck yes. I want to try the other cookies and I feel like I must try the other ice cream flavors. The Baked Bear isn't only in Texas. It's also in California, Arizona, Oklahoma, Maryland, South Carolina, Alabama, Missouri, and Florida.
