Max & Louie's New York Diner Review

I love diners! I'm bummed there doesn't seem to be more of them out there because normally they have the best food. I saw on the local news that there was a place nearby that called themselves a New York Diner so I told my husband we had to go. We went for a lunch date at Max & Louie's.

It's nice and cozy inside with plenty of space. And yes, there is a bar!

I decided to try the old fashioned cherry soda. Plus I ordered the Diet Coke, because I love Diet Coke and was happy they had Coke products.

As I said, there were tons of amazing choices, and I went with the French Toast Grilled Cheese. I had never heard of such a thing and was intrigued. I figured it was like a Monte Cristo sandwich--you know the deep fried ham and cheese one?

Tom ordered the Reuben. Oh, and they have adult milkshakes as well. These sounded fantastic.

Our food came out quickly, and mine looked scrumptious:

It came with syrup and potatoes, that were cooked perfectly. I used a fork to eat this because I figured it would fall apart if I tried to pick it up.

Tom said his Reuben was good, and he was impressed with the potato salad that came with it:

We saw there was homemade pie, so naturally we had to order a slice of apple.

This was another win. I hate when I order pie and you can tell it came from a box. This tasted homemade. Even the crust was flaky.


Would I recommend Max & Louie's? Yes! We'll be back. It's open 7AM-10PM daily.
