So we're Star Wars fans. I knew I wanted to get us a reservation for Oga's Cantina. For those who don't know, Oga's Cantina is the local bar in Batuu located at Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland and Disney World. We went to the one in Disney World. It's right around the corner from the Millennium Falcon.
I highly encourage making reservations, but sometimes you will get lucky walking up. We made reservations to be on the safe side. (You can do that here.)
It's pretty neat inside and it isn't overly huge, which is why reservations can go fast.
Yup that's Rex spinning tunes. He's pretty awesome.
Please note, it's mostly standing room in Oga's. There are some tables, but they are few and far between. When we made our reservation we couldn't request a table. We were just shown an empty spot, which was standing. I believe now that social distancing is over, you might even be set up in a spot with another party. We were not since our table was small.
There are a mixture of alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. The food choices are limited. There are only two snack options so eat beforehand. You can check out the current menu here.
We all went with the Blue Bantha, which is non-alcoholic. It's chilled blue milk with a Bantha Vanilla Butter Sugar Cookie on top. That reminded me of a caramel delight.
I wasn't a huge fan, which is odd, because I love the blue milk from the stand. However, my son loved it and he's picky about what he drinks.
Was it expensive? Yes. Each drink was $13. But it was a fun experience. We might even be back at some point. Maybe when my son is 21 he can get his first alcoholic beverage there.
If you're a Star Wars fan I'd check it out, but remember to make reservations. I recommend making them in the evening. That way you can see Batuu all lit up, and it's even more exciting when you have lightsabers.
Have you ever been to Oga's Cantina?
OK now this is so cool - I have to admit I don't know much about Star Wars at Disney World - but it is somewhere I would love to go as it seems like they have some really interesting features there.
