I love a sub. I eat many kinds of sub: meat, veggie, heck, I'll just eat the bread because I love bread. Cheba Hut has various locations across the country and has over 25 signature sandwiches. Plus desserts like rice krispy bars and cookies. Oh, and if you aren't into carbs, you can make any sub into a salad.
It's a nice space inside with plenty of seating. There's also outdoor space as well.
Yes, there's a bar as well if you have teenagers:
As you see, there are tons of choices. You can put your sub on a garlic, wheat, or white bread. There are various sizes too.
Oh, and there's Kool-Aid! I thought that was fun. Plus Pepsi products.
Natalie got the smallest size with her BLT. It's not the nicest photos because she started eating. She doesn't wait for photos. She's like "when I'm hungry, I need to eat." I get that.
Tommy got the spicy club and liked it:
I also got the spicy club. I went with the 8" size and thought it was plenty. The garlic bread was delicious and soft. I felt like I got a generous amount of veggies and meat. It came with roasted turkey breast, bacon, chipotle mayo, jalapeno, avocado, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and the Shake & House dressing.
I tried the Lucky Charms bar and I was a fan. If you like Lucky Charms, you'd enjoy this. There was also regular Rice Krispy Bars, plus a Fruity Pebbles flavor as well as chocolate chip cookies.
Would we go back? Yes! The kids thought their subs were flavorful. A note though, the decor is pot themed, so you might see certain photos on the wall. It didn't bother me, but it might bother some. We're just there for the food and Kool-Aid.
You can go here to see if there's a Cheba Hut in your area. If you like subs, you'll probably enjoy Cheba Hut. Natalie highly recommends the BLT but again, there are veggie options, and you can get any sub as a salad, but that bread is *chefs kiss* so it would be tough to not get a sub.
What's your fave sub place?
The subs look great, but I'm really eyeing that absolutely massive Rice Krispies Treat bar. Yum!

ReplyDeleteI am picky about my subs, but those ones look great! I love almost anything with avocado. But, the bread is the most important part of the sub. .

ReplyDeleteYum! I haven't heard of this chain until you shared it. The sandwiches look amazing. If I ever go to San Antonio, I will be trying them.
ReplyDeleteI swear I live in the wrong place. I love every single thing about this place just from your review. First of all the hoagies/subs look amazing and are one of my favorite options when ordering out but the fact that they are "munchie" themed intrigues me so much!! Kelli
ReplyDeleteLove subs too! :D Haven't had some since I went lowcarb but I'd definitely cheat with subs lol.
