If you're a fan of the TV show Gilmore Girls, you need to pick up the Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook.
For those who don't know, Gilmore Girls is a hilarious show about a mother and daughter. The mom, Lorelai, had her baby, Rory, (full name Lorelai, named after her of course) when she was 16. They are incredibly close and live in a small town called Stars Hollow with quirky characters. If you've never seen it, all the seasons are on Netflix. I loved it when it first came out. I purchased all the DVDs and would watch throughout the years. My daughter Natalie's grew to love it. So much that she even has a Rory outfit.
Anyway, the book has recipes from food mentioned in the show. Like the Santa Burger. Luke, who owns Luke's Diner, makes Lorelai a Santa Burger. Luke is cranky but he wants to make Lorelai happy so he surprises her with it.
Stars Hollow has tons of celebrations and one is Founder's Day. Miss Patty, who runs the School Of Ballet in town, makes Founder's Day Punch which tends to intoxicate people quickly.
There's also quotes from the show. Plus pages about the characters. Even if you don't ever try a recipe, it's still a wonderful book to have for a Gilmore Girls fan.
Oh, and I see need to try The Rory. I can see what Luke meant when he said it tastes pink.
There are tons of other recipes you need to see. I bought the Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook on Amazon here but I imagine it's at most retailers. If you have a Gilmore Girls fan in your life or are one, pick this up!
