Teenage girls can be frightening creatures. Are they happy? Sad? Pissed? Sometimes they're all 3. I've witnessed it before and got very, very confused and a little bit afraid. If you ask them what they want for Christmas they might give a nonchalant shrug and reply, "Money?" which, let's be honest, isn't surprising as teens always seem to be broke. Yet they make all sorts of plans. But they're BROKE.
Anyhow, okay, if you press them some more they might ask for something horribly expensive. For a while my daughter was obsessed with wanting a Gucci belt. (It never happened.) Sometimes you can get ideas from them and I have ones that my daughter actually expressed interest in. So a real teen picked these out.
My daughter has loved Rapunzel for a long time and when she saw this bag at BoxLunch, she fell in love. It's made well and is gorgeous is person. It's the perfect gift for a Tangled fan.
This Yeti microphone is actually for my son, who is 20. But teenagers love to make videos and this microphone can help make your voice sound clearer. According to my son, who has made many videos throughout his life. I picked it up on Amazon here.
Ulta Beauty released a whole Walt Disney World line of makeup. We're Walt Disney World fans so naturally I picked up some palettes (and they come with 1 lip gloss!) for my daughter. Our favorite parks are Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom so I bought those. (They also had Animal Kingdom and Epcot!)
Video games are always a win depending on what a teen enjoys. I bought it from Amazon here. I find some games are a few dollars cheaper there.
Recently my daughter has become a fan of Paris Hilton. I think it's because Y2K stuff is coming back and Paris was big in that scene. She found this perfume at Ross and I told her I'd buy it, but it would be a Christmas gift. There was a sample out and it did smell nice!
Natalie is into the 90s as well so when I saw this Play-Doh on Amazon, I had to get it. I'm intrigued too! Some of the smells are movie rental stores and mall food courts. I'll find out on Christmas what the scents are like.
Jewelry is always a winner. Story Jewellery has so many beautiful pieces. My daughter has been wearing her daisy ring a ton and has some other items from the store on her list. I love the mother & daughter bond rings and might have to pick one up for her 16th birthday in March. Great news, if you buy something, use the code AMBER to save 15%!
I hope you were able to find some gift ideas and as I've always said, if all else fails, gift cards. Or cash because as I've mentioned before, teens are almost always broke. But always making plans.
Happy Holidays!
