I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.......to be going to see Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith this weekend at Flix Brewhouse. It's back in theaters for the 20th anniversary.
.....to currently be reading Variation by Rebecca Yarros. It's about Allie, a gifted ballerina who comes from a famous family of ballerinas. Her whole life is ballet. She meets Hudson, who wants to be with her but she insists she has to focus on ballet--even though she wants him too. Years pass and Allie returns to the place where she met Hudson--and sparks fly. She also discovers Juniper, a 10 year old who looks awfully like her sister, who passed away in a tragic anniversary. I'm nearly finished and it's a great read. It reminds me how hard ballet dancers work. And I do love a book with intrigue!
.....to be excited about the new show Etoile. Speaking of ballet, well, it's a show about ballet dancers. It's about a company in New York and a company in Paris--they are both struggling, so a bunch of the staff decide to swap places to see if new blood will help. Will it? I'm not sure, but the show is by Amy Sherman-Palladino of Gilmore Girls and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, so I imagine it'll be fantastic. It premieres April 24th on Prime.
.....to have been freaked out when the power went out in the dead of night. I sleep with a fan, so as soon as it went quiet, I woke up. I cannot sleep in silence so I pretty much was awake until the power came back on an hour later.
.....to have found these Gilmore Girls plates at Hallmark and gave them to Natalie at her fashion show. Instead of flowers, I usually give her other fun gifts after performances. We love Gilmore Girls, so these are perfect. They are the same price on Amazon, so if you want a set, get them here!
Love this! Yes, it’s totally okay! And it’s ok that I spent way too much time relaxing and reading blogs today! 🤪
ReplyDeleteI love those plates from the Gilmore Girls. This is a show that I enjoy watching.
ReplyDeleteIt’s okay to admit that I’m exhausted and need to take a nap today while it rains.
ReplyDeleteLove those plates! And for me, it's okay that I procrastinate on restarting my fitness journey is what I'm struggling at this moment ;)
ReplyDeleteI totally get the fan situation—it's amazing how strange silence feels when you're used to that constant hum. And those Gilmore Girls plates? Such a sweet and thoughtful gift—I'm sure Natalie was thrilled!
ReplyDeleteThose are such cute plates! It is nice that you treat your kids to these things.
ReplyDeleteI love those plates (Gilmore Girls after all, and the vibrant colors!).. and I have to go look for Variation now. Also, I cannot sleep in the quiet as well, so I now have an app for white noise (the fan's noise rather) which helps me when we are traveling (and for power outages)..
ReplyDeleteIt’s totally okay that I still cry every time I rewatch Revenge of the Sith. That Obi-Wan vs. Anakin scene make me so emotional!
ReplyDeleteI love Rebecca Yarros books. I just discovered her a month or 2 ago. Now I need to read the one you mentioned!
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with Rebecca Yarros work after reading Fourth Wing and I would love to read more of her books. Thank you for sharing about Variation. I will try to get a copy soon.
