Must-Have Items When Traveling

We are headed to Walt Disney World next week and when I travel, I always make sure I have certain items with me to make the voyage easier. I am not a huge fan of flying, but having these with me helps to calm my nerves. If you're not the best at flying, perhaps these will help you as well.

Snacks. You'll get a tiny bag of pretzels or something on the airplane, but that's not enough if you're hungry. So I pack things like chips, cookies, and beef jerky. This beef jerky from Old Trapper is delicious. They come in a variety of flavors & sizes--a fave is the peppered beef jerky. Plus, they are affordable at $5.99 a bag.

Creams. I hate when I look tired when I travel, and this Eye Cream from LilyAna Naturals helps. The Retinol helps me feel refreshed at night when I sleep. Even better, everything is cruelty-free and vegan ingredients. And yes, they do smell amazing! I hate when creams smell like medicine.

Books! I always have books with me. If you're traveling with a child who needs to be entertained, pick up this cute Gilmore Girls book called Goodnight, Stars Hollow

Headphones. We love these noise-canceling over ear headphones from Belkin. They truly work. If there's an unruly child or adult on the airplane, you will not hear them with these headphones. Plus they have 60 hours of playtime before you'll have to charge again.

Gum! Sometimes ears pop while on airplanes due to the pressure change. I picked up some bags of gum from Bumblegum Kids. They are only $4.99 and I love the different characters they have. I watched Care Bears a ton as a kid so I had to get them, but there are many others. Plus the gum is truly delicious. Save 15% on your order by clicking here.

Deodorant! I do not want to be the stinky passenger on the plane so yes, I pack a deodorant in my travel backpack. If you want all natural deodorant, check out Wild. You buy a reusable case and whatever scent that calls to you. We picked Ocean Mist, which reminds us of the beach. All the cases are beautiful--there are ones decorated with bees, cats, and other various colors. If deodorant isn't for you, they also have body washes, lip balms, and hand washes. Plus, you can save 20%! Just click here and the coupon will show up. Feel good about not buying wasteful plastics that are only used once.

I always have everything above in my travel backpack. I hope nothing goes amiss when we're flying next week. I will share our adventures over on my Instagram Stories if you'd like to give a follow.

  2. I have only flown twice (to & from) and I know that gum was a huge one for me! I did not do well with the air pressure change & ended up with vertigo for the 3 hour flights. It was horrible. I would also add motion sickness meds since they helped a bit for me.

  3. I travel with plenty of snacks. My food allergies make it hard to go to restaurants, so I bring my own food.

  5. This is nice and reminder to me, I usually forget the cream, rest of the things I always remember to carry. Flying frequently has helped cultivate these like habits, but that cream I still forget.

  7. Travelling does tire you out so the creams sound like a really good idea. I love that these ones smell great and are vegan and cruelty free. Those headphones would be perfect to listen to music to on the plane.

  10. I travel with snacks too! I've used noise cancelling headphones in the past, especially on red eye flights.

  11. It has been a long time since I traveled, I would always bring snacks, and a good book with me along with a table or computer for my boys to keep them enterained during the flight. Gum is a must have as well.
