I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
......to be excited that it's my birthday week. My birthday is Friday and we are going to The Melting Pot to celebrate. If you've never been, you're missing out. It's CHEESE fondue. It's CHOCOLATE fondue.
......to hope everyone has a wonderful Father's Day weekend. If you need gift ideas, I have some.
......to be glad that Natalie survived her first shift as a Lifeguard. She said there were tons of people, and all sorts of things happened: a missing child, a bloody nose...
.....to be sad that Spurs lost to the Knicks, but also be proud of the Knicks. There were some close games.
.....to not understand why people are excited that Kanye is coming to perform in San Antonio next month. Did they forget all the awful things he's said and done?
......to have picked up this green mustard from French's, and yeah, it tastes like regular mustard. Only it's green. I'm amused.

Happy early birthday!! I have always wanted to go to The Melting Pot because they looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat green mustard reminds me of when they did colorful ketchup (purple, green and orange). I hope you have a great birthday!
ReplyDeleteYesss. You can't have a better birthday celebration than the Melting Pot. Cheese, cheese, cheese, and more cheese, bay-bee!!!
ReplyDeleteI have zero idea why anyone would be excited to see Kanye any time anywhere. His music has never been good, and he's a total jerk. A friend of mine went to school with him, and I have been assured that his attitude is NOT just a construct of his mental issues.
ReplyDeleteThis is turning out to be an eventful week for sure! Wish you a very happy birthday celebrations!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that green mustard! It reminds me of being a kid in the 90s, when we briefly had that squeezy ketchup that came in different colours. I distinctly remember begging my mom for the purple one...so glad the kids of 2026 get to experience the grossness of that, too! Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday week! 🎉 The Melting Pot sounds like a delicious way to celebrate. And that green mustard gave me a good laugh too. It's funny how changing the color of something familiar suddenly makes it seem completely different, even when it tastes exactly the same! Wishing Natalie many successful lifeguard shifts ahead as well.
ReplyDeleteGood on Natalie for being a lifeguard. I could never handle that pressure. LOL. Happy birthday to you, as well! May it be a great week and a great birthday.
ReplyDeleteSo cool for Natalie, may she have a safe lifeguard summer, and Happy Birthday to you. My kids would freak out over that green mustard.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your honest series; it makes everyday imperfections feel lighter, funnier, and completely normal.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Birthday! And the cheese and CHOCOLATE fondue, sound so amazing. I will take some.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very Happy Birthday in advance of Friday. May your day be filled with clean laundry, Melting Pot, Spurs, and Kanye delight, cheese, chocolate and green mustard delights. You've earned them! Elizabeth F
