**I was given an Annie Prize Pack in exchange for this post. I was not compensated in any other way**
I LOVED Annie when I was little. I watched it over and over again.
Then I heard they were re-making Annie. Differently. I was momentarily insulted, but then I thought, well, if the heart of the story is still there, I can give it a chance.
I'm sure a lot of you have seen the preview. If not, here it is:
Annie is no longer an orphan. She's a foster child. Miss Hannigan is her mean foster mom. Then she meets Will Stacks. He wants to take her in because he's running for mayor and it will look good.
Yes, I was like, "Um, it's Daddy Warbucks, thanks." But again, I am keeping an open mind.
The music is still there. I love the music.
Annie comes out on December 19th. I will be taking Natalie to see it. She's already excited for the movie.
A lucky reader can win an Annie prize pack. It includes the following:
--An Annie activity book:
--An Annie shirt:
--An Annie sticker sheet:
--A Scholastic Annie poster
