How To Help Keep The Weight Off During The Holidays

**I was provided a Jenny Craig Weight Loss Starter Kit exclusive to Walmart. My opinions are my own.**

Halloween is coming!

The front yard is decorated.

And the our candy cauldron is semi-full. It would have more, but I had to sample everything. You know. To be sure it was okay for the tiny children who come to our door.

I've always been a fan of Halloween candy.

My favorites are the following:

1. Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. The kids know to hand theirs over.

2. Twix. Delicious crunch.

3. M&Ms. I'll take any flavor of these.

4. Skittles. I love to taste the rainbow.

5. Hershey's chocolate. Or any chocolate, really.

I mean, it's no secret that I love sweets.

It's only going to get worse when Thanksgiving and Christmas comes around. I really need to watch what I eat if I want to be able to fit into my pants. This is where the Jenny Craig comes in.

Jenny Craig has a weight loss starter kit exclusive to Walmart. It has a variety of 23 meals and snacks and can be found in the weight loss/diet aisle.

It's filled with all sorts of goodies. Goodies that can help ward off a sweet tooth so I'm still able to fit into my clothes during the holidays. I love how everything is already ready to go. I hate to cook.

My favorites?

These chocolatey peanut butter bars--they had a nice flavor. I could imagine that it was one of my beloved candy bars. But unlike my 250+ calorie candy bars, these are only 110 calories.

The chocolate shake is also rather tasty.

This creamy chicken and corn chowder soup?

And my favorite dinner? This rotini:

But warning: put wax paper over it. The directions say to lift up a corner and put it in the microwave. I did this and sauce splattered everywhere. I probably should have known to cover it to begin with.

The kit also contained a free consultation at any Jenny Craig center or Jenny Craig anywhere. You also get $50 in food savings if you join a Jenny Craig center.

(Doesn't the lava cake look amazing?)

I know this kit will help me over the holidays if I go overboard with all the sweets that'll be available. It'll be an easy way to shed the extra pounds I might pack on.

Will you try the Jenny Craig Kit exclusive to Walmart? Or if you already have, what is your favorite food from the kit?

  1. It's great when diet food doesn't take like garbage. I used to really like those lean cuisine frozen meals!
But yeah. I like candy too...

  2. It's great that it tasted good, that is always my worry.

  3. With Halloween coming it is hard not to sample some of the candy. It's nice that is all comes together in one kit.

  4. I was just being excited about finally losing weight and then we enter into the Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas period and I know it's all coming back! Argh! Gotta find some willpower!

  5. Ugh - Halloween is the worst for me; my sweet tooth is out of control. But this is the first year both of my kids have aged out of trick-or-treating, so I won't be tempted to steal their candy!

  6. Mmmmm, candy. We have a similar favorites list! That chicken and corn chowder sounds good though. I love soups, so I may have to try it.

  7. From October-January1 is the worst time for me and food. This actually looks good, I will have to try it.

  8. I love kits like that, with everything you need already in it. Magical.
I don't want to lose weight, but my dear friend had so much success with Jenny Craig - more success than she'd had anywhere else after years of trying.
    So. Yes.

  9. Some of the Jenny Craig stuff is really good. Darn you Halloween candy!
