Until Lauren Graham, who played Lorelei, shared this on her Twitter account:
I CAN NOW CONFIRM: it's time for me, and this jacket I stole in 2007, to return to work.@netflix #GilmoreGirls pic.twitter.com/tBb07J9oO1— Lauren Graham (@thelaurengraham) January 29, 2016
I shrieked with happiness, causing my cat Max to glare at me, because he was on his 32897th nap of the day and I dared to wake him.
But I couldn't help it. Gilmore Girls is one of my favorite shows. I even did a blog post on why it's my favorite show. I wanted my husband to cheer with me, but when I told him he was like:
Then he continued with, "Isn't that the one with the annoying "la-la-la" music?"
I was offended:
"That's classic!" I hissed. "It makes the show!"
"It makes the show annoying as all shit."
"But you do laugh when it's on," I reminded him.
"Until the 'la-la-las' come on. I also wonder when the girls will stop talking."
"Oy with the poodles already!" I snapped at my husband. "Ruby!" I yelled when I noticed my other cat walk in the room. She flinched. "Ruby, you're excited that Gilmore Girls is returning, right?" I scooped her up, but then she bit me.
I knew Tommy wouldn't care--he's a male teenager and if it doesn't have boobs, isn't food, or isn't on his PS4 or WiiU, he's not interested.
So then I found my daughter and I told her and she was like:
Yay! Proper excitement!
Will you be watching the new Gilmore Girls episodes?
