Cora From Music & Lyrics Costume

My daughter Natalie went to a Halloween party over the weekend.

Homoween, it was called.

It was a party for the queer community, but anyone was welcome. Natalie is a proud pansexual, so they are her people.

She decided to go as Cora from Music & Lyrics.

If you've never seen the movie, it's spectacular. It's a delightful rom com starring Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant. Hugh plays a has been member of a boy band from back in the day and writes songs for the current pop stars, but he struggles with finding the right words. Drew is excellent with words, so he hires her to help him write a hit song for Cora, the current It girl.

Here she is from the movie. She is played by Haley Bennett. 

Obviously Natalie added a wig. Her real hair is short and red.

She found all the pieces on Amazon. The skirt, top, and the wraps for her legs.

She said the party was crazy, with all sorts of creative costumes. Most had no clue who she was. They assumed Britney Spears and she'd be like, "CORA FROM MUSIC & LYRICS!"

She did get overstimulated so she didn't stay for the entire party. She's like me: if there's too many people in a close proximity, I shut down. 

She might wear this on actual Halloween. She's having a small get together with friends.
