I knew she existed before anyone else did when the plus sign appeared on the pregnancy test....
I sat by the toilet for the few months of pregnancy, willing away the sickness.....
I carried her for nine months and counted the stretch marks as they appeared on my stomach......
I pushed her into the world (with the drugs, for my sanity)......
I nursed her for a little over two years....
I changed her diapers, bathed her, got up with her when she decided that two AM was an appropriate time to wake up....
I stay home with her all day...
But still....
.......she is a Daddy's Girl

That totally sucks when we do all the work and they get all the credit...but it is sweet, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteMiss D.'s heart has always belonged to her daddy. The little ingrate.
ReplyDeleteI was right there until the nursing for nearly 2 years part...
ReplyDelete6 months was all I could handle.
And of course Daddy is always the one they want to curl up with...
and the one who will spoil her terribly, and have no idea what to say to her when she asks those hard questions...
Mom will be the one she comes to when she needs someone to listen to and cry with her over all the awful things life will throw her way.
Hang in there... someday soon she will need AND want her Mom...
Well, of course we do the hard part. They get all the fun. Not fair. Not fair at all.
ReplyDeleteOh, I feel for you. Seems so unfair, doesn't it?
ReplyDeletethe daddy's always get the fun parts.....it's just no fair!
ReplyDeleteMy son is a total daddy's boy.
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome, but I'm definitely a bit jealous.
Aren't the all?
ReplyDeleteSo, so, so sweet :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, what a sweet picture. Those darn dads! You would think the little punks would be more appreciative of all the hard work we do to bring them into this world!!
ReplyDeleteYa, go figure. What's up with that??? Sometimes life just isn't fair!!! Your Daddy's Girl is just precious!!!
ReplyDeleteGod bless and have a fabulous day!!!
I have a "Daddy's Little Boy"....I feel ya sister.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that always the way?
ReplyDeleteawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww:)
ReplyDeleteOf course...isn't this always the way???
ReplyDelete*sigh*
ReplyDeleteit is so unfair. and not only is mine a daddy's girl, she looks exactly like him...
Something tells me the allegiances will be swapped when Natalie starts getting boyfriends and bringing them home?!
ReplyDeleteOf course she is. I don't think it would be any other way.
ReplyDeleteAdorable photo.
my oldest has definitely switched to being a full on Daddy's girl. I think it happened when #2 arrived and mommy didn't have the time to spend with her.
ReplyDeletesigh, oh well, I'll just make sure #2 LOVES me and only me ;)
Little girls always are!! I can't wait to have a mama's boy ;)
ReplyDelete~WM
Proving once and for all: There is no justice.
ReplyDeleteBut hey, on the bright side, you're not the ONLY one she wants when she needs something!
ive seen thats how it normally goes.. but it is a super sweet photo!
ReplyDeleteAt the beginning of the post I thought that you were having another baby...
ReplyDeleteEven my animals seem to cuddle with my husband more than me, and we don't even have kids yet.
Such a sweet photo!
Molly was a daddy's girl for awhile. It will change when she hits those tween years, trust me. Unless of course Jer enjoys shopping, starbucks and discussing boys. Lol.
ReplyDeleteTake the break for your sanity now!! You'll need it later. =]
♥Spot
guys sometimes have it so easy.
ReplyDeleteHardly fair, but really cute nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteMy kids too - which is fine by me, they come second in my book too ;)
ReplyDeleteI kid, of course.
Isn't that the truth...at least I'm not the only one listed in 2nd place.
ReplyDeleteWait till she gets her period. You will have your day in the sun. hahah
ReplyDeleteAnd I love how they are snuggling under a very manly blanket with a football helmet on it! I was a Daddy's girl too. I knew football formations long before I could bake cookies. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI think it's cute to see my daughters bond with their dad, and I even make him take them on Daddy/daughter dates every once in a while. I only wish that it would have paid off when I had boys. NONE of my kids want to cuddle with me when the chips are down. I'll laugh at them someday when they're in my shoes though!
ReplyDeleteMine too. The world stops when daddy comes home. What is that about? Now that I'm having another girl I'm sure she'll be a daddy's girl too. Nice of us to do all the work!! It is sweet though!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, go figure. She'll come around. But who doesn't love a daddy's girl?
ReplyDeleteJust wait until she's a teen and she wants you on her side. Both of mine were Daddy's girls. Now that they are in becoming teens they want Momma on their side.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! My daughter gets excited when Daddy walks through the door but then forget it she is a momma's girl.
ReplyDeleteAwwww!! I don't know if I have it good or bad because my girls are attached at the hip, leg, arm, arse!! LOL!! Anything they can get ahold of! People call my soon to be 3 year old.My velcro because of her attachment!! LOL!! Oh well,it won't last forever!! Um,I hope not!! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteNatalie,
i was sooo a daddy little girl, but now I have my boys and could not be happier. at 13 they still want me to scratch their back.
ReplyDeleteLoL! Tom does always look angry! LoL! :)
ReplyDelete:) Somehow you need to work that to your advantage... like, task Tom with the toilet training...
ReplyDeleteShe looks so comfy!
My youngest is a total daddys girl too!
ReplyDeleteAwww...what a sweet picture:)
ReplyDeleteAwww! They've got the same face...no question she's daddy's girl!
ReplyDelete(p.s. - It's because of scenarios like this that I've resorted to bribery!)
aaaahhhh...how adorable!
ReplyDeleteSome things will NEVER Change.
ReplyDeleteBoth my girls are Daddy's girls no matter how hard I try to be the favourite.
One day when they're teenagers and when its not cool to kiss Daddy anymore, I will be there...
My heart will not break as much as Daddy's will.
Isn't that just the way?
ReplyDeletePoor, little pickle. She looks so sad!
ReplyDeletethat's so Sweet!
ReplyDeleteLittle stinkers, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteTotally sweet and very unfair! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky, my girlie has always been a Mommy's girl and still is. Although when she's been hanging all over me for hours at a time I wouldn't mind if she were a little more Daddy's girl!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet entry. She's so cute!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww
ReplyDeletejust love this...
