Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. I think I’m going to do this every Tuesday now. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.

Hey, It's Okay....

To not be surprised that Levi Johnson and Bristol Palin broke up. Again. And they were on the cover of US Weekly going on about their love too. Bristol, you can do much better. Trust me.

To drool in your sleep. What? I can’t help it. I’m not PROUD to be a drooler, mind you.

To have cried in Toy Story 3. Andy is moving on. Wahhh!

To have to remember to prime the mower since mowing is now your responsibility since your husband is gone. My catchy way of remembering to prime the mower? Optimus Prime the mower.

To vow never to go into an ocean again after watching Shark Week.

To think Gisele Bundchun needs to shut her trap. Seriously, saying that breastfeeding should be a law? And saying that giving birth didn’t hurt? I hope she loses a nose or something. Try modeling without a noggin, Gisele. Trying modeling without a noggin.

To have watched that new trainwreck of a show Bachelor Pad. (I know, I know. It’s just, I don’t have drama in my life so sometimes it’s fun to watch drama. You know?)

To still not understand the popularity of Jersey Shore. Who cares what Snoopy is doing? Or wait, it’s Snookie. (That’s the kind of drama I can’t stomach.)

To have promised Tom that I’d get rid of some of Natalie’s clothes. So I listed some on eBay here.

To hate those cardboard drink carrier things that fast food places give you. They don’t work. The drinks still FALL OVER! (All over my newly cleaned seats.)

To wear white after Labor Day. Who in the heck made up a rule that you couldn’t? And does anyone actually follow it?

  1. I cried at Toy story 3, my 6 year-old laughed at me.

I'm pouring Gisele a glass of shut the hell up right now.

I never get those drink holders, they sit on the floor of my car forever! I'm a car slob.

I hater reality tv. Give me the fake stuff any day.

Bristol is a dope, how she went back with him after the stupid things he did is beyond me.

Optimus Prime, I love it! That should be the lawnmowers name from now on.

  2. Those were very good. That Gisele chick, I'm with you. Shut up, it didn't hurt. What kind of drugs was she on?

  3. Oh Gisele is a douche!!!!! She is so fake! she is the only woman in the world who had no pain from shooting a small person out of her private parts???

  4. People here follow the white after labor day rule. They're snippy about it!

  5. I did not see the Bristol/Levi breakup coming. :P

  6. Jersey shores is horrible. I've seen previews for it and that was enough.

However, I did watch the Bachelor Pad. I think it would be a lot better if that whineass Elizabeth wasn't on it. She was driving me nuts in the first 10 minutes of the show. I read spoilers today just to see how many weeks I'm going to have to deal with her.

  7. in the South (which translates to East coast South) the rule is strictly followed!

    ReplyDelete
  8. I had to take deep breaths so I wouldn't cry during Toy Story 3. Andy playing with that little girl, being all grown up like? Totally wanted to sob. :)

  9. The white after labor day rule is crazy... I say, wear whatever is comfortable, as long as you're not showing off your goods! :o)

  10. agree with all of the above..

but i'm trying not to read your comments because I haven't see TS 3 yet.. and I really really want to!

  11. Oh my gosh - I LOVE shark week - I look forward to it every year AND buy the set on DVD ahha.
I noticed it was a bit more graphic - like the shark bit beach - there were a lot of bloody nubs in that one!

  12. I haven't watched Bachelor Pad yet, but it's on my DVR. I will watch it. I won't be proud of myself, but I'll watch.

  13. Oh Amber, it's white shoes after Labor Day that aren't stylin'. And except on nurses, who wears white shoes?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I cried during TS3 too! Jersey Shore is something I do not follow. I have a confession...I sometimes drool too. Wonder who/what I'm dreaming about.

  15. Breastfeeding a law? Seriously? This must be why we classify models as intelligent people, right?

And I cried in Toy Story 3, too. No shame.

    ReplyDelete
  16. yea.. other night- just cause all the talk of jersey shore.. i watched 2 episodes and I SO DON'T GET IT EITHER.. in fact, they were sorta getting on my nerves being so darn abrasive and loud and well.. weird!!!

  17. I am with you on all accounts. (Except that I didn't see Toy Story after the tenth person told me they cried.)

I scream when they try to give me those drink holders. Save the cardboard.....and my upholstery.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Gisele just pissed me off. Don't get me started. >:(

Oh, and yeah, those carboard holders stink.

And I still haven't seen Toy Story 3. Or the new Twilight. Or Jersey Shore. Does that make me an old foggie? I'm pretty sure it does.

  19. I like the idea of "it's ok Tuesday" I believe I shall borrow it! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I haven't been to see Toy Story for that reason...I shall wait to blubber huge tears in the privacy of my own home when it comes out on DVD!

And make it a law to breast feed...are you serious??? How about make it a law not to get knocked up with another baby when you can't afford the other 5 you have with 5 different daddies for MY tax dollares to support!!!!!

  21. Optimus Prime the Mower. giggle! And the jersey shore people are RUINING the Jersey Shore. Can't go out and dance over that way. WAHH!

    ReplyDelete
  22. LOL My mom and sisters cried during Toy Story 3 too!

I was strong and held my own :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. There has got to be some uppity neighbor child who wants to make a few bucks and would happily accept the task of the mowing the lawn for you.

Plus, you'd be stimulating the economy because that child will not save a dime. He will go out and spend it all on Madden and Halo.

    ReplyDelete
  24. i cried @ TS3 too...alot. and still had a lump in my throat for a while afterwards...oh crap...eyes are watering just remembering. please pass the tissues!

    ReplyDelete
  25. OK, so I love that you're selling Natalie's clothes as outfits rather than individual pieces. Totally makes sense.

Also, WTF on Jersey Shore? Just seeing Saturday Night Live make fun of Snooki is too much for me.

    ReplyDelete
  26. everyone drools in their sleep- it just usually dries by the time you wake. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm a drooler too. My pillowcases are always a disaster. It was even worse when I was pregnant, though. I got a little misty during Toy Story 3, as well as during Despicable Me, I admit. I have no tolerance for sentimental movies unless they're for kids.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Fellow drooler here. I tell my husband that it's better than his snoring.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yup, Bristol can definitely do better.

Wait! You're in charge of the lawn? I thought you had the reputation of killing anything green......I guess you won't be mowing too much then.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I bawled like a baby when Andy moved on.

    A very manly baby though.

And I didn't know you were such a reality drama TV junkie. That explains a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Is it okay to absolutely care less about any of the Palin?

    Well I do.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I cringed when I heard Bristol and Levi were getting back together again. Didn't think that would last very long, but thought it would last longer than a couple of days!

Toy Story 3 - great. I teared up, too.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well, you know where I stand on Gisele's verbal diarrhea.

Yeah, the Levi/Bristol thing is ridiculous. Have you heard that he may wish to run for mayor? Oh, and get a reality show? Seriously, does anyone want to watch that?

Toy Story 3 wrecked me--I was one big snot-ball.

  34. So much truth, so little time! You rule! I may have to play this little game now, too. I'm always tempted when I read yours, but haven't gone there yet...

    Carry on!

    L.

  35. I had no idea Gisele was saying stuff like that - how obnoxious. What a phony.

I'm the reverse of you - I enjoy the Jersey Shore drama, but I can't get behind Bachelor Pad. Ah, well. Remember when summer TV used to be nothing but reruns? It's like it's own TV season now (I'm not complaining, mind you).

    ReplyDelete
  36. woo hoo I love "its ok" day! and yes i totally do not get jersey shore either lol

    ReplyDelete
  37. These are funny! I'm a drooler too...hey it is okay :)

I'm SO with you on the whole Gisele thing...obviously!

    ReplyDelete
  38. You're right Giselle is a moron, and there is nothing wrong with drooling.

    ReplyDelete
  39. For me, its okay to have an icecream sundae when my throat is sore...

    ReplyDelete
  40. I cried my eyes out at Toy Story
    3. I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I love this list. And Giselle sure did know how to anger everyone - breast and bottle feeders alike! Even Mel Gibson hasn't figured out how to be an equal opportunity offender like that.

    ReplyDelete
  42. You know I love these. I keep wanting to do them, and forget.

How are you? I'm following your comments on twitter, and thinking of you.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Toy story 3 made me cry repeatedly. My kids laughed at me and told me to grow up!

    ReplyDelete
  44. OMG I totally agree with you about Gisele - who the F is she and when did her opinion become news worthy? She's nothing but an attention whore. ugh...

    ReplyDelete
  45. I drool so bad that I have drool marks all over my pillowcase, wash the sheets on the weekends and by the next morning its back to the drool stains. Its an art form

    ReplyDelete
  46. I cried not once, but twice while watching Toy Story 3. Totally ok with admitting it too.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I hate trying to get the mower started. I get so excited if it starts and I haven't thrown out my shoulder, I mow the neighbor's lawn too. -J

    ReplyDelete
  48. Gisele and her "I don't understand why people say its hard to lose the baby weight, I did in three weeks" was on my last nerve when she hooked up with a guy with a pregnant girlfriend so I completely agree with you there.

    here's mine - http://parentplanet.wordpress.com/2010/08/11/hey-its-ok-3/

    ReplyDelete
  49. I am sooooo with you on this!!! Totally cried at Toy Story 3, Hate that Jersey crap, and Wear white whenever I want!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I am ashamed of myself for watching Bachelor Pad....but will continue to watch it. That, AND Big Brother - totally addicted to that too. What is wrong with me?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hey, with global warming, nobody follows that white after Labor Day rule anymore. If it's over 80 degrees, wear it. If it's under 80, wear it and call it Winter White!
