Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.

------------------------

To find it annoying when actors are cast as siblings and they look nothing alike. This is distracting to me.

To love Mozart’s laugh in the movie Amadeus.

To not be positive if The Event is a good show or not. It’s definitely not as good as Lost. How I miss Lost.

To be impressed that Tom is washing his sheets all the way in Korea. I knew I’d get to him with all the bed bug talk.

To wonder why people look at me funny when I say that no, the kids don’t sleep with me since Tom has left, that they sleep in their own rooms. One of the pluses of Tom being gone is that I get the bed to myself.

To want to check out that new show The Talk starting next week. Only because Sharon Osborne and Sara Gilbert (Darlene from Roseanne ) are in it.

To already be looking forward to Black Friday.

To be stunned that Courtney Cox and David Arquette are splitting up? Why, celeb universe, why?

To like the Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses—I’m a big fan of fall foods!

To wonder why TLC constantly has shows about women who pop out 5 or more kids. Basically, to get a reality show these days you have to carry a butt load of kids, be a polygamist, be a little person, or swear a lot.

  2. Oooh, I need to try that PUmpkin Spice Hersheys.

I am currently watching The Event, as I type this. I like it so far.

  3. I can see the okayness in everything you listed. Well except the celeb split up. While Arquette seems like a nice guy Cox seems way out of his league. ;)

  4. I want to check out The Talk for the exact same reason!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Now I have to try the kisses! And TLC decisions are very confusing!

  6. what? Courtney cox and David Arquette are splitting up?! Bummer.

I have this feeling you like pumkiny stuff, no?

I saw the new TLC show last night. I was thinking the exact same thing!

  7. Why does anyone care if Courtney cox and David Arquette are splitting up? Is it okay if I don't?

And yes, 2 kids per family is ample these days.

  8. me and my sister look absolutely nothing alike - we do have diff dads though.

i'm actually stunned when celebs make it past 2 yrs.

  9. The TLC reality shows are getting to be too much!! I used to like watching. Now? Not so much.

My best friend's husband is deployed right now, and she gets the same question regarding the kids sleeping in her bed too. Strange!

  10. The Pumpkin Spice Kisses are wonderful. I bought a bag just the other day, tried one, loved it and put the bag up. Now I have to take it out and enjoy the sugary, pumpkiny, spicy bliss :)

  11. I miss Lost too. My life feels empty without it.
I love Sara Gilbert! I loved watching Roseanne and still find myself watching reruns.
I totally agree with you on the TLC thing. Totally annoying.

  12. I could not get through the first 10 minutes of "Sister Wives".

And pumpkin spice hersheys kisses??? really??

    ReplyDelete
  13. The Courteney Cox thing was like how it felt when Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston split.

It's not that I cared, really, but it's always nice to see people make it for the long haul.

  14. I'm perplexed by the Courtney Cox split up too.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Is your first bullet from Grey's Anatomy? Derek's sister didn't look anything like him (other than the dark hair)- that really bothered me the entire episode.

I'm not that surprised about the Cox/Arquette split. It was an odd pairing to begin with and she could do much better.

  16. Breeders! All those Breeders! We are overpopulated as it is. Why do people want a herd of kids? There's something to be said for 0 to 2 kids. Never more! Ugh! (I'm one of 4 myself.)

  17. I fully agree with your TLC channel comment. I wonder why they can't do something with "normal" people.

And I was completely stunned that Courtney Cox and David Arquette split up. It is horrible that my first thought was it is Jennifers fault?

  18. I was totally shocked when I heard about Courtney Cox and David Arquette too!! Also, I wanted to let you know I had no clue what Yo Gabba Gabba was from yesterdays post... and I truly thought "how bad can a kids show be," I apologize for that. I googled the show and the intro alone made me want to scream and possible break something (like my ear drums). OMG you are an amazing mother to put up with show!!

  19. BLAAAAAAACK FRIDAAAAAAAY! i haven't even looked for ad leaks yet. i'm trying to restrain myself this year.

    ReplyDelete
  20. PUMPKIN SPICE HERSEYS KISSES?!
DON'T TELL ME THEY EXIST! *cry*

    ReplyDelete
  21. courtney cox and david arquette = total bummer. I was shocked.

I do enjoy taking up all the pillows, too.

  22. so with yet another mention of pumpkin food love... I just made pumpkin chocolate chip cookie dough last night. before even having a chance to bake them, my husband wrinkled his nose in disgust. now, obviously, I'm sure once they are baked I will eat plenty of them. but if it isn't freaky stalker-ish, shoot me an email with your address and I'll have them sent your way.

  23. I agree with #1! Or when they cast a kid to play a young version of a character and there's no resemblance. Same type of thing.

And OMG ... I was stunned at the Cox/Arquette split too. So sad.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I know, I was completely stunned about the Cox/Arquette break-up. They always look so happy and like they're having a great time together. Although I heard on the radio today that one of the problems is that she's tired of mommy'ing him, that he needs to grow up. I'll tell ya, THAT didn't surprise me one bit, though.

  25. Yeah, TLC disses all of us who had 3 at at time. I gaave birth to 3 kids at one time where is my fame and fortune. Not that I want it but still. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. i know right... courtney and david.. WHAAAA-AAAAT?!?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  27. LOL! I'm amazed that Courtney Cox and David Arquette lasted this long!

I'm looking forward to The Talk too! I answered an ad to be in the studio audience, but I never heard back, so I guess they're already filling up! Bummer!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I didn't know Courtney and David were splitting...boo! Where have I been!

It's OK that I don't watch Jersey Shore!

It's OK that I don't want to go to an IEP meeting this afternoon and listen to this annoying mom talk about her child who is great for us but bad for her!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I am SO gonna call TLC with my ideas for a Meeko show . . . LoL! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  30. I am looking forward to Black Friday, too! Unreal that it is so close already :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Seriously? They think your kids should sleep with you now? That's nonsense.

And I had no idea they were splitting up? Sad.

I'm not a fan of the PSHK, either. I don't know why. I want to like them, I do, but that and pumpkin pie...I just can't do.

    ReplyDelete
  32. OMG! First Pumpkin Pie Poptarts and now Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses? How are you finding these thing before me? Where did you find them? I gotta know!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Courtney Cox and David Arquette are splitting up? Gasp. I had no idea...

Nor did I know about Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I should think by the time you've had 5 kids you really are popping them out. It would be difficult to hold onto them by then, I would have imagined.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Omg, they have pumpkin spice Hershey's kisses? I still haven't had those pumpkin pop-tarts yet. You're killin' me!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I am really trying to figure out TLC. They are running some odd shows now!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Not to try and put distrust into your marriage... but how do you know Tom is washing his sheets? 'Cause if it's the same way my mom knew I was doing that at college, well, you might have a truth issue.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Love love love 'Hey it's okay Tuesday'

    ReplyDelete
  39. What is it with you and pumpkin flavors? :) To win your heart, all you need is something pumpkin-flavored, huh?

And amen to that last one!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I have every episode of 'The Event' on my DVR, all unwatched, because I also can't decide if this is supposed to be a great show or not. I got so irritated by all the preseason advertisements for it that I vowed not to watch, and than damn, I got sucked in at the last moment. I suppose not having watched it yet means I should just go ahead and make it a non-event.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yeah, you scored an A+ again-- wait, Hershey's makes a pumpkin spice Kiss?????? Scuse me, I gotta make a run to the store...

    ReplyDelete
  42. Note to self: find the Hersheys!

I'm so over the TLC shows!

    ReplyDelete
  43. You must have pumpkin on the brain!

Did you know that Starbucks makes pumpkin scones? At least they have the past few years. And they are delish!

I never DID see Cox/Arquette together as a couple. He just seems too goofy for her.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Whoa, I had no idea that Cox and Arquette were splitting. That's shocking.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The Cox/Arquette thing surprised me too. So sad.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Oh my gosh! David and Courtney are splitting up? I can't believe that.

And I liked John and Kate sometimes but I agree that all these shows are getting a little ridic.

    ReplyDelete
  47. To complain about eating the wrong foods and then eat all carbs all day. I wish it was only on Tuesdays...

    ReplyDelete
  48. Why are you looking forward to Black Friday?

    ReplyDelete
  49. What is even more distracting is finding out that actors cast as siblings are dating in real life. *shudder*

Random side note: I finally got to a Target and bought some Pumpkin Pie Pop Tarts and. Ohmygosh. ♫♪Heaven♪♫

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm looking forward to Black Friday, too! It's totally okay. :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. I AM looking forward to Black Friday!!

That Sister Wives shows freaks me out!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Why Courtney Cox and David Arquette are splitting up? Why? after all the marriage therapies what went wrong :(!

    I am your new follower.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Not Courtney and David???? Oh no!! I'm surprised by that one too. I swear, I'm never going to believe in love again. ;) Seriously though that one surprises me.

And I was just thinking about Black Friday. *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  54. The Courtney Cox thing isn't sitting right with me either.

Pumpkin spice kisses?... I must investigate! -J

    ReplyDelete
  55. Oh, really? You didn't see the cox/arquette thing coming? He' so immature, and she is so grown up..

How are you??? How is tome???

    ReplyDelete
  56. I once posted a clip that compiles many of those Amadeus laughs of which you speak. Er, write. Whatever. You get the idea. I love the laugh too.

  57. Here's the link to the laughs:

  58. I'm so sad, more than I should be, about the Courteney & David thing. I really thought they were a couple that would actually make it in Hollywood. Another couple that in my mind should make it is Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck and I heard on the radio they might be splitting up too?!! Noooooo...

And siblings in movies/tv that don't look alike drive me nuts too!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm so interested in that new show! Except julie chen, she's SO the chen-bot...like perfect all the time. Looks cute though.
