Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.

----------------------

To not wear skinny jeans.

To think all the award shows that celebrities get are ridiculous. There shouldn’t be more than 2. Yes, talent should be celebrated but celebs seem to need their egos stroked. A lot.

To have NOT watched the Golden Globes even though Ricky Gervais is hilarious.

To have finally watched Sense and Sensibility and while I liked it, holy crap, the movie kept going and going…just get to the part where Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson get together for craps sake.

To have been craving Kentucky Fried Chicken for the past month.

To cringe when someone walks around with a popped up collar. I have to force myself not to reach over and put the collar back down while explaining that a popped collar makes the person look like a fool.

To occasionally have ice cream for dinner.

To never be able to mother like that Chinese woman who doesn’t allow her kids to have sleepovers and demands all As from them.

To not hide veggies in dinners I prepare. I personally wouldn’t want a hidden zucchini in my meat loaf.

To think Charlie Sheen should be fired and properly punished for his behavior. He’s never going to take anything seriously if people are all, “Oh, it’s fine, act like a drunken ass, show up late for work, and oh, here’s millions of dollars for doing it.”

  1. I don't hide veggies either. And pop collars make my eyes bleed. But I do like skinny jeans :)

  2. I.can't.stand.skinny.jeans. And what REALLY gets me is when GUYS wear them... ick...

When I see someone w/ their collars up, I fight the urge to call them "Elvis"...

  3. Skinny jeans are fine if you have no arse, but for the rest of us, they just make it all look so much larger, and I need no help with that. I don't crave KFC, but there are days when I murder a Subway.

  4. Skinny jeans and I will never be friends...and hey, I'm okay with that :)

  5. Skinny jeans and popped-up collars... the ugly side of the 80s is back, it seems!

  6. Thanks for the ice cream for dinner permission. We did this on Sunday, everyone was feeling a little under the weather and just wanted a snack instead of dinner.

    Thank God for ice cream!

  8. I have to admit that I sometimes wore my collar flipped up in the
80s but I wouldn't do it now for pete's sake! Some trends should NOT be brought back!

  9. I'm with you on not hiding my veggies in the food - I don't like surprises! And also, good to know it's okay to have ice cream for dinner occasionally.

  10. I love Ricky Gervais. Unfortunately, I thought he was super uncomfortable to watch. I am a big fan of mocking celebrities, obviously, but many of his jokes were just below the belt, especially when they are in the room.

  11. I'm not a huge Ricky Gervais fan. . .some things just don't need to be said.

I personally wouldn’t want a hidden zucchini in my meat loaf.

    That's. . .what she said?

    . . . . .

    Sorry, I'll leave now.

  15. Great - now I'm having an urge for KFC. And I just ordered a hamburger before I read this. I guess I know what I'll be having for lunch tomorrow.

  16. You deserve Ice Cream for dinner babe anytime you want!

Skinny jeans are for teenage girls, at least thats what I tell myself.

And I totally agree with you about Charlie Sheen......dickhead should be fired!

  21. could never mother like that Chinese chick.

  22. Although a very funny guy, I have to agree that Ricky went a bit too far with a lot of his intros the other night.

  23. I have no desire for skinny jeans.

Nor for Uggs, if I'm being honest.

  24. AMEN to all my friend. AMEN!!!

    Skinny Jeans cause eye cancer.

  25. Amazing how many women are backing ya up on the skinny jeans dealio. I personally cannot afford the medical bills to be acquired while fainting from lack of oxygen whilst buttoning, nor would I like to meet the handsome firefighters who respond to cut them off me.

    Thanks for the giggles.

  26. I agree wholeheartedly with every one!

  27. People who wear skinny jeans need a throat punch only because my ass and cankles would never look good in them ;)

  28. Ditto on the KFC! I crave that all the dang time, and Chinese food. Oh what I would do for some Chinese food..

  29. We have ice cream for dinner a lot. Mainly because I'm too tired and no one will complain.

I'm still working on a good Gluten Free version of KFC. Needless to say, we're eating alot of fried chicken. :)

  30. No skinny jeans here but I would be lying if I said I wasn't intrigued by jeggings.

  31. Oh that whole hide healthy food in junk food is crap! I tried to puree cauliflower one day, and the whole house smelled awful. Both my kids wanted to know what the awful smell was, and needless to say they easily recognized the food I tried to give them as the awful smell. fail!

  32. i love ricky gervais!!! i didn't watch the golden globes either, but i loved the fact that he hounded all the a-listers...they needed a rude awakening!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree about Charlie Sheen! However, as long as the show is making the network money, that's all they care about!

    ReplyDelete
  34. The one thing about the Golden Globes is that the celebrities get to relax and drink their champagne so anything goes - that's why I like to watch it!

Wait - skinny jeans and popped up collars aren't IN? Uh-oh.

    ReplyDelete
  35. So agree with you on the skinny jeans!

Don't you hate it when you crave something for a LONG time??

    ReplyDelete
  36. yeah no skinny jeans for me either...fat girl in skinny jeans, not pretty

  37. So in agreement with you on Charlie Sheen. I can't figure out why he hasn't been arrested for spousal abuse.

And my MIL & her husband always wear their collars up on their polo shirts. It drives me insane.
