Smiling rocks.
And the following pictures have made me smile.
The dessert we had on Christmas Day. That cake is a triple chocolate cake from HEB. I love the bakery in HEB. If I lived in Texas, I’d try every dessert.
Tommy gets so excited when he does different science experiments. In this one, he was creating tornados.
Real Mexican food always thrills me. This was taken at a restaurant on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. I can’t even remember what I ordered, but they were delicious.
We went to the San Antonio Zoo and Natalie wanted to keep this goat. She named it Goaty and kept saying, “You can come home with me, Goaty.”
My Mom loves (and I mean loves) horses. She brought us to the place where she volunteers and this horse definitely loved the camera.
Natalie decided to wear her jacket like pants. I’m not entirely sure why. She takes after her mother. Sometimes we do things that don’t exactly make much sense.
This candy bar caught my eye because of its name. It’s fun to say. And it turns out that it’s delicious. Anything with peanut butter is usually a win in my eyes.

Those picture are the epitome of happiness. Your little girl looks very sweet hugging "Goaty."
ReplyDeleteHappiness is a good thing!! *smile*
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the picture of Natalie wearing her coat for pants :) Too cute! I just wish my legs were small enough to fit through the arm holes of my coat!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these pictures. They made me smile, too!
There's a candy bar called "Thingamajig"??? I HAVE to find that up here in NY!! I say that all the time. Oooo that dessert looks yummy! That's awesome that your boy loves science! I used to love doing mini experiments when I was lil! Aww the pics at the zoo are priceless! Happy weekend!! =)
ReplyDeleteMelanie's Randomness
My stepdaughter received chocolate peanut butter hot chocolate. Doesn't that sound fantastic?
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Natalie, for being different.
LisaDay
I love Thingamajis. Haven't seen one in a long time. The photos are awesome. I love the one of the horse.
ReplyDeleteSmiling's my favorite.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Natalie hugging Goaty. Too cute!!
ReplyDeleteMexican food makes my world go round. Really. I love all the pictures!!
ReplyDeleteI love the jacket worn as pants! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThingamajigs ROCK! and so do those pics, they made me happy too. Now I just need to get back to the Riverwalk for some Mexican food!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! It looks like you had a great visit with your family over Christmas. The kids are getting so big now!
ReplyDeleteIs that your father at the table with your mom? If it is, I want to say, now I know where you get your incredible hair from!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures made me smile too. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteThe tornado experiment is a big hit in our house too.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics and I love how some of them are just regular old snapshots!
That dessert looked amazing! Anything chocolate makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't you wear a jacket as pants?
ReplyDeleteAJcket as pants is perfect. I have a picture that always makes me smile of Peanut wear gloves as socks. She looks like a duck almost the way the fingers are all empty and spread out.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures...my favorite is the pants-coat:) Thanks for sharing:)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures.. Your kids are adorable.
ReplyDeletePeanut butter is a staple in my diet, just give me a spoon.
YOU rock - and your pictures make me smile, too.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures made me smile too! And they made me hungry....
ReplyDeleteNatalie made a friend! I'm so glad her new friend didn't poop on her.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys have fun whatever you are doing. Nice.
ReplyDeletejacket as pants - all the cool kids are doing it.
ReplyDeleteThat gorgeous daughter of yours must be kept locked in a tower the minute she reaches 15 - she is FAAAAR too beautiful to be let loose on mankind!! The horse with your mum made me laugh - what a ham he is! What a sweet expression on that scientist-to-be's face, too! Ah, family, demented as they may often drive us, we wo9uldn't be without them, eh?
ReplyDeleteThose tornado bottles make fairly decent drink mixers, btw. We used to use ours to make whiskey sours (tried rum and coke once and it almost exploded) but when a friend with a young child overheard us and wanted to try it, we made her some koolaid (in clean bottles, of course) and she LOVED it. It might also work for chocolate milk, though I've never tried it.
ReplyDeleteA very nice series of pictures. I have a picture of myself hugging a sheep exactly in the way your daughter is hugging a goat. Mind you, I was about 36 at the time. But everyone needs a cuddle, don't they?
ReplyDeleteAnd now I miss Texas!
ReplyDeleteThe tortillas at HEB are awesome and perfect.
And, well, any real tex-mex rocks. We can't get anything close here.
all those pictures made me smile =)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are glad not to have a pet goat. That horse is SO funny!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAll those pictures made me smile too! And as for the Tex-Mex?? You can't beat it! And you can't find it anywhere else - the mexican food here totally pales in comparison - even when the owners claim to come from Texas. That's the one thing I truly miss about Houston. Every time I go home I eat Tex Mex just about every day.
ReplyDeleteThat horse pictured is hilarious. Jakob loves science too. I'd love to see how they interact should we ever get together the next time you're down here. 2 aspies together can only bring good. Right? Right?! hahahaha
ReplyDeleteheehee, made me smile, too!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a Thingamajig! I MUST find one!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great set of photos and smiles. Your mom is just as cute as you and your kids are.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures made me smile too.
ReplyDeleteThose are all great things to smile about ... especially the Mexican food and cake! You can take Goaty home to keep Glen company! I wonder what kind of critter a goat and antelope would produce. =D
ReplyDeleteGood post. Your mother is beautiful. Runs in the family, I see.
ReplyDeleteHey, lawsuit in the making: Hershey stole a word I came up with years ago.
Barefoot, sunshine (heat) and a coat? Oh, what weird weather we have nowadays.
I predict Tommy can be a great scientist; possibly save the world. Go Tommy!
Goatie....still laughing. It reminds me of my son who used to name our pets by their colour: whity, blackie, greyie...
ReplyDeleteThe first pic of the cake...ummm...yummy! And the Thingamajig, well, duh! Of course it would be good, it's loaded with sugar!
Great pictures though, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your family...and Goatie.
I LOVE Texas, of course! I shop at HEB weekly. I guess I need to try more of their desserts. This will not help me with my plan to lose 15 pounds in the next 3 months. Thanks a lot.
ReplyDeleteVery nice pictures:)
ReplyDeleteMmmm! I just had one of those candy bars last night. SO SO good!
ReplyDeleteMmm, Mexican food!
ReplyDeleteJust letting you know I have passed on the Stylish Blogger Award

My youngest does the jacket on the legs things too...better than panties on the head I suppose
ReplyDeleteI like pictures like these. That one of your mom with the horse is brilliant - the expression on his face! And I'm not sure why but I want a thingamajig...
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool pictures.
ReplyDeleteLove the coat as pants!! I have done that a few times myself!!
