I managed to get some good photos of Tommy. This doesn’t happen often.
Tommy is sporting a shirt from Crazy 8.
And a rose lollipop that I thought could be used as a fun prop.
I handed it to Tommy and he was like, “What do I do with this?”
“You smile with it,” I suggested.
So he did.
Then he was like, “What if I close my eyes?”
“If that’s what you want to do, Tommy.”
“What if I want to act mad?”
“Go ahead.”
“I pledge allegiance, to my rose lollipop!”
“Great, Tommy.”
“Mommy? This lollipop doesn’t smell good.”
“Fine, you can put it down. Can I have a nice smile?”
“Er...with your eyes opened, Tommy?”
“Very cute.”
“I’m pretending to be an old man thinking.”
“Okay? How about you give me smiles again? Think about…farts.”
And then he started to think, “Man, my Mom is nuts. But at least she lets me talk about farts unlike my weird friend’s parents who claim that farts are an inappropriate subject matter.”
Yeah. We’re a family who laughs at inappropriate things.
And Tommy loves it.

Annnnd -- yes, the eight-year-old-boy-humour gland is alive and well in me too.
Farts.
Fart.

The word itself makes me grin. I wish it found itself in more conversations...
Love the pics!! He's a handsome guy!!
ReplyDeleteMy boys hate to have their picture taken too and love to talk about farts. They think it's especially
ReplyDeletefunny if I say the word 'fart'.

ReplyDeleteAwesome.
ReplyDeleteI love these photos.
And farts are funny and totally should be talked about. B/c we all do it.
We have wars in our house. My 6-year-old informed me the other day that popcorn makes the best farts (loudest and longest) but eggs make the stinkiest ones (usually silent-but-deadly). Little boys are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, that boy of yours is so freaking cute.
ReplyDeleteOh man! He's friggin' adorable too! You and your hubby certainly make beautiful kids!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I'm jealous you got such good photos.

You need to download the iFart app if you have a smartphone!! It works like a charm! I especially like the "Dirty Raoul" ;)
ReplyDeleteYou can also set the phone up to fart when the next person moves it... could be amusing!
aaahhhhhh.... so so sooooo adorable!
ReplyDeletei would love to meet you and your family! :)♥
Precious! Loved that age with my kids - hope those pics got sent to your hubby!
ReplyDeleteMy sister manages the Crazy 8 in Indianapolis. She always hooks our kids up with clothes.
ReplyDeleteHe looks good.
I don't know if I've seen photos of him before he he sure is a cutie. He has the cutest smile.
ReplyDeleteThose are great shots of a very cute kid! I gotta say, though, that first shot is perfect. The t-shirt tie and the popsicle rose make him the perfect kid suitor!
ReplyDeleteGeez Louise, I want a rose lollipop!
ReplyDeleteIf you've already mentioned it, I totally missed that he lost his tooth! He's so cute.
ReplyDeleteAwww. What a handsome little guy you have there.
