Inside Tommy's Closet

I managed to get some good photos of Tommy. This doesn’t happen often.

Tommy is sporting a shirt from Crazy 8.

And a rose lollipop that I thought could be used as a fun prop.

I handed it to Tommy and he was like, “What do I do with this?”

“You smile with it,” I suggested.

So he did.

Then he was like, “What if I close my eyes?”

“If that’s what you want to do, Tommy.”

“What if I want to act mad?”

“Go ahead.”

“I pledge allegiance, to my rose lollipop!”

“Great, Tommy.”

“Mommy? This lollipop doesn’t smell good.”

“Fine, you can put it down. Can I have a nice smile?”

“Er...with your eyes opened, Tommy?”

“Very cute.”

“I’m pretending to be an old man thinking.”

“Okay? How about you give me smiles again? Think about…farts.”

And then he started to think, “Man, my Mom is nuts. But at least she lets me talk about farts unlike my weird friend’s parents who claim that farts are an inappropriate subject matter.”

Yeah. We’re a family who laughs at inappropriate things.

And Tommy loves it.

PS - there is nothing cuter than a kid without his two front teeth. Glad you captured that moment :)

  19. We have wars in our house. My 6-year-old informed me the other day that popcorn makes the best farts (loudest and longest) but eggs make the stinkiest ones (usually silent-but-deadly). Little boys are so much fun!
