I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.
----------------------
To think it’s gross when people share toothbrushes.
To want to try one of those new Blizzard cakes from Dairy Queen.
To not understand why couples share a Facebook account. I feel my husband and I are two different people, therefore we have our own accounts.
To cry during this week’s The Office. It’s Steve Carell’s last episode.
To hate how the volume is different on certain channels. So I'll be sitting there at a comfortable volume, switch the channel and it's either BLASTING or very, very quiet.
To wish parents would tell their teens not to sound like morons online. For instance, teens seem to like to spell unless ‘inless.’ And don’t get me started on the ‘ur’ for your thing…if my kids ever post updates like that, I’m going to tell them to knock it off. Or leave a comment with the proper way to write stuff.
To be really tempted to get an iPhone 4 for my birthday. I have an iPod Touch but sometimes the Wifi doesn’t connect and I want to play Words with Friends whenever I want, dangit.
To love going to stores and finding Easter stuff for 50% off.
To hope that the show Parenthood comes back. There might not be another season. To help ensure there is, please go here.

People share toothbrushes? I don't even like anyone to drink out of the same cup as me ... not even my own kids. Ick!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh, don't get me started on the teenagers sounding like morons online thing. That is one of my HUGEST pet peeves. I mean, really? The future leaders of our nation are too lazy to type - not even hand writer, but TYPE - a few extra letters in words like "your?" That doesn't exactly bode well, does it?
And yes ... separate Facebook accounts for sure.
I admit, I raided the 50% Easter Chocolate yesterday. Chocolate peeps, Milky Way Bunnies, Reeces Easter Eggs... yum...
ReplyDeleteI correct my daughter on Facebook or text messages when she uses "your", "you're", "there", "their", "they're" incorrectly. If you ever see me use those words incorrectly, PLEASE let me know.
:o)
Um...who thinks it's right to share a toothbrush? Just wondering! LOL
ReplyDeleteI've shared a tootbrush before. It was that or not brush my teeth, and as we'd shared more than spit already....
ReplyDeleteHow about adults who can't write coherent online updates? I get super annoyed with people who update their statuses and it's a run-on sentence.
ReplyDeleteLove this post! I totally dont get couples that share facebook accounts either!
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot about facebook that bothers me.
ReplyDeleteI want an iPhone bad but the hubby doesn't seem to think I need one.
I totally cried at the office episode when he proposed! this makes me feel better that other people will or have cried watching the office ha.
ReplyDeleteThe hubby and I share a FB page. We had separate pages, but he never used his. I had a few problems with inappropriate and unsolicited messages from several men... so we felt that the best thing to do was put our pages together. End of problem.
ReplyDeleteewwww.... shared toothbrush!!!! Gross. I think that is up there along with putting on someone else's sweaty socks. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteShared tooth brushes?!?! NASTY. Get the Iphone 4. best choice i ever made :) And what is this about Parenthood? My favorite show!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought I wanted an iPhone but then I played with the Samsung Captivate and now I'm hooked haha =) But I haven't ever really owned i-anything lol...an iPod shuffle but I don't know if that counts lol
ReplyDeleteThe toothbrush thing grosses me out ... even when its my husband lol. I accidentally used his one morning while I was still half asleep and had to brush again with my toothbrush. ick haha
My husband totally doesn't get the toothbrush thing. His argument is that I kiss him so what does it matter if he mixes up the brushes and uses mine. TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!
ReplyDeleteHate the channel/volume differential, too. We used to have a TV that self-adjusted each channel to whatever volume you set. I miss that TV.
People share toothbrushes? Why? That's just gross. I don't care that we've swapped other body fluids. Just no.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have a friend who shares and email account with her husband. Talk about annoying. I always have to be very careful what I say.
I definitely think it's gross to share toothbrushes! The facebook thing bugs me too -- and I honestly think it's a little sad because it screams "controlling" to me. AND I agree 100% about people posting updates (or texting)and sounding like morons. I don't care what the reason for doing it is!
ReplyDeleteps -- just got the iphone 4 & I'm loving it!
Did you say Blizzard ice cream cake????? YUM!!
ReplyDeleteI love Words With Friends :)
ReplyDeleteSharing toothbrushes and FB accounts, that's just weird.
ReplyDeleteAnd 50% off Easter stuff--score!
I have got to agree with you and the others who commented, the toothbrush thing and shared facebook acounts is strange, tooth burshes just really gross! Thanks for a laugh! I love to come to your site!
ReplyDeleteI practically cry when the commercial for the Office airs. I will totally cry this week.
ReplyDeleteI did one of these It's Okay things after reading yours about a month or so ago & totally said the exact same thing about sharing FB accounts. You are getting way better responses on it than I did though. I actually had two different people tell me that they completely understand it & that it's about a trust thing. I just don't get it at all.
ReplyDeleteAnd the teenager FB thing that bugs me the most is adding extra letters onto words. I just don't understand that.
I have cried during the last two episodes of the Office. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteBlizzard cakes? OH nooooooo! And oh yes.
Grammar shortcuts kill me.
And Parenthood is the BEST. I will be really sad if it doesn't come back.
I think I may have said this to you before, but it's the truth and bears repeating: the iPhone CHANGES YOUR LIFE. IT. CHANGES. YOUR. LIFE. Go get one. Now. Don't wait, go! Then I'll play WWF with you.
ReplyDeleteWhat??? No more Parenthood? I LOVE that show. I'm off to do whatever I need to do...
ReplyDelete50% Easter stuff is the best. I hit Target yesterday.
ReplyDeleteAnd people share toothbrushes? totally gross.
Have a great Tuesday.
The toothbrushes thing ... now that is HORRIBLE. I've got a shiver down my spine just contemplating it.
ReplyDeleteNot Blessed Mama is right, iPhone does change your life. I <3 mine more than my kids some days.... Totally gross on the toothbrush thing. Yuck...
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more on couples sharing a facebook, it drives me insane. Makes me want to tell the guy to grow a pair of balls, just saying.
ReplyDeleteAlso kids grammar these days, "wat r u up to?" Retards.
Just got the new iTouch for my birthday. Unfortunately, I think it has just further fueled my desire for an iPhone. Crap.
ReplyDeleteI love your Tuesday posts, they always make me laugh.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great day!!!
Christine.
PS, come join my new blog and be more in tune to fitness and your body.
To HATE the way you have the TV volume just right and then a COMMERCIAL COMES ON AND FRIGGIN' BLASTS YOU OUT OF THE ROOM!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry for yelling! :)
I totally agree on the toothbrushes! So gross! I know a couple who shares one of the ultrasonic ones and all I can think is how nasty it is.
ReplyDeleteI also totally agree about the FB accounts. I know a lot of people who share email addresses too and that's just weird to me.
I so look forward to Tuesdays now, thank you
ReplyDeleteWait... did Blizzard cakes just come your way or do they have new flavors??? We've had them for awhile down here.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the TV channels... I feel like at one point they were making TVs that has a sound regulator so it was the same no matter the channel or commercial.
We need to play Words with Friends!
ReplyDeleteI despise how channels are at different volumes, and commercials are too!
Totally with you on the teens sounding like morons online - but it frustrates me even more when they sound like morons in real life, i.e., not being able to have a real conversation with anyone over the age of 18. Which means looking people in the eye and responding audibly when asked a question.
ReplyDeleteWait a minute! You mean there are actually people out there who share toothbrushes???? EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!
Totally agree about the toothbrushes thing.... one time after a stomach flu episode in our house, I replaced all the toothbrushes in the house. About 2 weeks later, I busted my husband using the one I thought was mine. He thought it was his too. Eww. I love my husband, but don't wish to share the food stuck between his teeth.
ReplyDeleteI love 50% holiday stuff! Any holiday! I am always fussing at my tweens to get their grammar correct and spelling! I guess live and learn but so frustrating!
ReplyDeletehooray for 50% off Cadbury Creme eggs! And. . . people share toothbrushes? How nasty.
ReplyDeleteI will def. be crying during The Office. I teared up a little during last week's episode. I think we'll get a Blizzard cake for Mother's Day. Yum!
ReplyDeletePeople share toothbrushes?! I could just see the conversation panning out on that one...
ReplyDelete"Hey Honey, did you eat roast beef for lunch?"
"Yea, how'd you know?"
"Just a hunch"
Bleh.
I have hidden all the people 20 and under from my comment stream on FB. Seriously, I can't understand a word they're writing.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I'm not that old.
Really, I'm not.
The thought of sharing a toothbrush makes me physically ill. And sharing a fb just seems weird.
ReplyDeleteOK, I DID just send an email message to NBC letting them know that if they cancel Parenthood, I may just lose all faith in humanity. I freaking LOVE that show!
ReplyDeleteIs it also OK to not understand couples who share the same email or Skype address for the same reason? What is that?
And if I could GET holiday stuff 50% off, I think I'd spend my entire paycheck on Easter candy...
I'm guilty of seeking out sale chocolate too. Because? It's chocolate! Half price!
ReplyDeletePeople share toothbrushes? Gag!
ReplyDeleteThat's almost as bad as sharing Facebook accounts. That makes me gag, too.
I didn't know people shared toothbrushes either? Thats yucky!
ReplyDeleteI Love the show Parenthood, hope is isn't cancelled!
I am with you on the joint facebook account. Tacky
ReplyDeleteI think shortening words like "ur" can be blamed on texting. I always want to leave a message pointing out that they are not on their phones and so could they please spell properly!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun shopping for me OK?? I'm having serious Target and Hobby Lobby withdrawals!!!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I must say, Italy does have it's charms.........
But no Target. *sad face*
Who the heck shares a toothbrush?!?! Blech!
ReplyDeleteParenthood might not come back?? That is such an AMAZING show!
How can you share a facebook account? ugh! And I love my iPhone! Can't live without it!
ReplyDeleteewww. Sharing toothbrushes, I couldn't even imagine. Gross.
ReplyDeleteMy friend shares her account with her husband. I hate it, because sometimes I want to complain to her, and I don't want her husband to read it.
yes you do need too! i did not know you started it or that Lora even got it from you!! I just always took it from her blog!
ReplyDeleteI hope it comes back. I clicked.
ReplyDeletesharing toothbrushes...nasty!
ReplyDeleteThe volume thing makes me CRAZY!
I don't get the shared account either.
ReplyDeleteWe're big NBC Thursday fans as well. One more day. Sniff, sniff.
Ok, I am totally going to cry tonight at the office. It's not cool that he's leaving. It's my favorite show!!
ReplyDeleteI hate the bad spelling. I want to correct everyone's posts. I'm not even that great on grammar etc. but I know a few things, and that red highlighter needs to come out!
Love my iPhone 4, and you will love it too. I had an iTouch before my hubby dropped it into the tub and love it...but the iPhone is just so wonderful. Especially when you're sitting at the DMV bored to tears.
