Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. If you do it, make sure you link up! (And make sure when you link up, you actually have an Hey, It's Okay post up, please.)

----------------

To wish the group One Million Moms would chill out over matters. They claimed a JC Penney commercial was sexist because of a woman in a bikini.

To be excited over going to a pumpkin patch this weekend. There’s a corn maze!

To have wanted to slap the woman on Extreme Couponers who was like, “If the shelf is bare, you should have gotten there sooner. Hehe.” Kiss my ass, lady. You don’t need 40 tubes of toothpaste.

To not make my own Halloween costumes. I think it’s cool that some people do but the most I could do was cut two holes for eyes on a sheet so my kid could be a ghost. And odds are, the eyes would be wrong and uneven.

To wonder if people actually pay money for those Cube cars.

To love feel good sports movies. Tom and I watched Remember the Titans the other night. I also have a special place in my heart for the Mighty Duck movies.

To be officially DONE with my eye drops that I had to take after I did Lasik. Well, I do still have to take artificial tears for awhile but I can deal with one. And yup, my eyes are feeling great. No more glasses slipping down my nose!

To think the new Extra Dessert Delights Orange Creamcicle gum is delicious. I’d like to say it makes my sweet cravings go away but it really doesn’t. However, it is tasty to chew.

  5. I'm REALLY not a fan of the cube cars!

I don't like those evil extreme coupon people either

  6. I hear ya on those costumes! I HATED Halloween for that reason - my kids always ended up with the cheap costumes-in-a-box from K-mart (this was many, many years ago). They didn't seem to mind, but I sure did, as they stood next to those elaborate homemade outfits. Sheesh!

    Yeah, pumpkin farms!

  8. Those extreme couponing people scare me and are in dire need of a twelve step program. I've never seen one in person though. I'll bet that's even scarier! I can't believe she said that to you and then laughed. You should have "accidentally" ran over the back of her ankles with your shopping cart and then said something like, "You should have moved out of my way faster if you didn't want me to run over you..HeHe!"

  9. Oh, I wanted to slap that woman too! The people who buy hundreds of deodorants amuse me, I wonder how badly they smell, because I use deodorant every day and never need to buy 75 at a time...

Good luck in the corn maze! We got horribly lost in one once, I could see the exit and couldn't get there, so we cheated cut through the corn! It was really fun though!

  10. so...do you still try to push your glasses back up, even though they're not there? And feel like a big dope for pushing up...nothing?

  11. Hey it's ok that I still wear my belly band so I don't have to button my pants even though my youngest is two. (That is ok, right? Right?)

  16. I feel like you would enjoy the new Brad Pitt movie... Moneyball? My mother recommends it. She finds Brad to be pretty most days.

I hate those Coupon ladies. I think it's wonderful that they save like beasts but I also don't see the point in hoarding 79 cases of hair spray or 14 boxes of Scotch tape.

  17. I love "Remembering the Titans" it gets me every time!!! I always love your "It's okay Tuesday" posts!!

  18. I wouldn't even want to attempt making a Halloween costume so I'm right with you on that one.
Creamsicle gum would be delicious. I haven't seen any around here.

  19. Have fun at the pumpkin patch!

  20. Congrats on the eye drops! I can never get them in my eyes without someone having to sit on top of me and hold my eye open.

I guess they would rather a man be in a bikini....or maybe they just can't be happy without something to bitch about.

Where does one put that much toothpaste? Oh Orange Creamcicle gum? Now I could do with 90 boxes of that! Would I still need toothpaste if I was chewing gum all day everyday?

  22. I usually hate the weird square cars, but for some reason I love the Cube.
I wanna go to the Pumpkin Patch!!
Those Extreme Couponers get on my nerves. I heard that comment too and just rolled my eyes.

  23. I hadn't heard the fuss over the JCP commercial yet.

I never make my own Halloween costumes. Luckily, there are adorable ones for sale these days.

  24. I dragged my hubby to a pumpkin patch a few years ago. We don't have kids or anything, but I thought the corn maze and picking out pumpkins would be fun. He was skeptical, but we had a blast :)

  25. One time I had to rent a car for work, and they gave me one of those Cubes. I was thoroughly embarassed. I think it was even purple. Everywhere I went, I wanted to explain that it was NOT MY CAR.
