Not A Twilight Mom
Several people posted this photo on my Facebook page and said they thought of me when I saw it.
Not because I’m a Twilight Mom. I mean, yikes. But because I’m pretty vocal about how frightened I am when grown adults go nuts over vampires and werewolves.
I did not see Breaking Dawn. I have seen the other movies and they weren’t the worst things I’ve ever seen…but definitely nothing I’d gush over. It’s hard for me to take Rob Pattinson seriously because when he’s trying to be romantic because he gets this tight look over his face that makes me believe he really needs to have a long poo.
So…did you see Breaking Dawn? Were there scary fans?
Were YOU one of the scary fans?
Be honest.
I won’t judge.
(Well, maybe a little if you’re over 30…)

I did see it, but I'm not over 30 yet. I love the series, but I am not a crazy Twihard. I did get a little upset when people tried to cut in front of us in line though :( but only because that's just rude!
ReplyDeleteI've never even seen it. I used to always plop down and veg in front of the tv at night...now as soon as the kids are in bed I'm choosing my lovely new laptop over the tv.
ReplyDeleteI just don't get it. I've never seen the movies {or read the books} but I just don't get the appeal. it's vampires. it's weird.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any of the Twilight "stuff" nor read any of the books... and I'm keeping it that way.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it yet but I wouldn't scream over it either.
ReplyDeleteI'm over 30 and I would really, really like to see it. Though I wouldn't go crazy over it, the acting is just too terribly awful to warrant that kind of behavior.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen the movies.. no desire to do so. I did read the books when they came out only because one of my kids was reading them..
ReplyDeleteThe poor girl.. having to choose between bestiality and necrophilia..
I will stick with Anne Rice and Vampires who do not "Sparkle" thankyouverymuch
Black Sheep
I did read the books and enjoy them but I waited until the movies were at the buck theater because I can't handle spending $12 on a movie.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad someone thinks like me! I loved Kristen S. but feel they could have gotten a much better actor for Edward. I did not think R.P. was a good fit nor did I like the faces he made.
I've seen it...went to the Midnight Premiere actually, but I'm not one of the scary fans...my friends and I have went to the midnight premiere for the past 2 so we went again. The audience was pretty tame. And I'm under 30 so I'm good lol (29)
ReplyDeleteI thought the quality of the movies had improved with the last one (Eclipse) and was expecting better with this one but it had the original twilight cheese factor. Though the CGI was well done. The score made me think of a soap opera/lifetime movie.
Oh, that sign cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it yet, though I will. But, no drool or anything. It is creepy.
No I've not seen it. Twilight was on the other night and I was all, "what's wrong with his face!" Glad I'm not alone!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm NOT a Twilight mom... ugh...
ReplyDeletethe only reason I've seen the 1st two were because of my daughter. The second one was bearable, so I'm hoping this one will be as well....
My husband and I went to see it on Saturday night and LOVED it. I have read all 4 books and Breaking Dawn is BY FAR the best out of the 4 books and the movie did NOT disappoint. However, with that said, I am NOT a Twilight Mom - but I did love the books and the movies so far! I think you would really enjoy Breaking Dawn Part 1. It's kind of a dark movie but SO GOOD! :)
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA! I totally agree with you
ReplyDeleteI have yet to see it but am kind of looking forward to seeing it in a few weeks when the madness dies down just a little. Really it is sick that moms are like drooling over these boys (yes they are good looking, and hey I just turned 24 so I can still say that). I was working Friday night at the mall and my store is just down the ways from the theater and you could hear people yelling and going ape shit crazy over this movie.
ReplyDeleteI've never even SEEN Twilight. Those guys are just too young for me. I like a little grey in the hair, you know?
ReplyDeleteNope, didn't see it. I find the whole series annoying. I read the first two books and it was very difficult for me... usually it doesn't take me long to read a book, but this was bad.
ReplyDeleteI'm not crazy about the series. I enjoyed the first book, the second was okay, the third bored me but I actually loved the last book. Finally, not so predictable. I've seen the first three movies, only because I have a Twilight mom. Yeah, sad. I haven't seen Breaking Dawn but it's the first one I'm actually really looking forward to seeing.
ReplyDeleteI read the first book and that was it. I wasn't interested. Saw the first movie and again, *meh*.
ReplyDeleteI've never read any of the books. Nor have I seen any of the movies.
ReplyDeleteI hope to never do either.
Pattison will always be Cedrick Diggory to me.
ReplyDeleteyes...I'm a twi-hard. yes...I saw the movie. yes...I saw it at midnight. but NO! I don't get all fan-girly over Jacob's abs or Edward's hair. why? cuz I'm not a Chester and because Edward cut his glorious locks. *facepalm* you said you wouldnt judge!!
ReplyDeleteHaven't read them and haven't seen them. I have never gotten the whole vampire thing. I am over 30 though so maybe I'm missing something!! Lol!!
ReplyDeleteI hate the movies, love the books, but still went and saw Breaking Dawn at midnight, just because who wouldn't want to see the books they love acted out, even if it is done poorly. I took some of the girls in my youth group and we blew bubbles during the wedding scene...I don't know if that makes me a weirdo or not (I'm 26)...but I thought it was fun.
ReplyDeleteHave yet to go see it, but really Harry Potter all the way!
ReplyDeleteI hate Twilight. You would love my Twilight post. I posted it on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI really love that picture. So true!
I read all the books and really enjoyed them however teeny bopperish they are, but I couldn't sit through the movie Twilight...Kristen Stewart is the worst actress EVAH.
ReplyDeleteShe twitches and grunts. It's annoying. I don't get the whole hype about the movies...plus I'm over 30. If I admitted to finding the cast hot (which I do NOT)...I'd feel creepy and weird.
I read the first book in the series - just to see what the hype was all about. I just don't get it. The book was boring. So no - I have no plans to see any of the movies.
ReplyDeleteI saw the movie and I'll admit that I did squee just a little bit.
ReplyDeleteSigh....I have two pre-teen daughters and I have been sucked in. (note the vampire pun) I am 38 and for that reason only (I am in bed by 9 because I am old), I will be taking my girlies to the 7pm show, a week or so after the premier. In my defense, it sure is fun hang out with my girls watching something we all enjoy....girlie squeals and all. BTW...Thanks for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteI realize that saying this out loud (erm, in print?) will probably cause fake vampire teeth to be heaved in my general direction, but I haven't read any of the books, nor will I see the movies. I just don't get the allure of vampires and werewolves. Also? (now rocks will surely be thrown) I don't find the cast the least bit attractive. *ducks for cover*
ReplyDeleteThat said, I may or may not have impure thoughts about Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Silas from Weeds.
I admit that I am a fan. And I am old (41). I read the books and saw the movies - not like a crazy person at midnight though. I can't help it and something might be wrong with me but I just love that Rob P. I wonder if I wouldn't love him so much if he wasn't Edward. Wait. Does that make any sense? And really, the whole old person finding a young person attractive is null and void only in this case since Edward is really really old - like over a hundred.
ReplyDeletehaven't read the books, haven't touched the movies, have no desire for either. but the people my age and older who are 'twihards' or whatever freak.me.out.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan either
ReplyDeletehave not seen it. I will eventually. Used to be a much bigger fan than I am now, but the novelty wore off and it's actually pretty lame, lol.
ReplyDeleteNot a scary fan but I DID see it because my stepdaughter IS a scary fan :-)
ReplyDeleteWon't read the books, won't see the movies. I love vampire/werewolf/zombie stuff, but more of the tear your face off variety. No thanks on sparklies.
ReplyDeleteI agree Pattinson looks like he's constipated, and Stewart looks like she can't act her way out of paper bag. But hey - if that's your thing, I'm okay with it. There's something for everybody.
But adult women pining over teenage looking boys (they did it with the Harry Potter crowd, too) is just weird.
The Jacob character is quite adorable, but I feel icky even saying THAT as he's WAY too young to be thinking that way. I don't get anyone who goes gaga over a movie star or famous person. It makes no sense to me.
ReplyDeletehaha, yeah... creepy for sure! I've neither read the books NOR seen the movies. And I'm fine with that!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Twi-fan, or a Twi-mom, or any of that. But yeah, that is kind of creepy.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally stealing that picture- it is AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen the movies or read the books. Vampires and werewolves are not that interesting to me. People over the age of 25 that scream, cry, etc over these movies scare me.
