I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up!
------------
To be weirded out that arsenic is found in small traces in juice. Thankfully we don’t drink that very much. We’re water and Diet Coke people. Well, the kids are water, I’m Diet Coke. With some water.
To be excited that The Hangover 2 comes out today. I loved the first one and never got to see the second. We’re totally buying it. I don’t care if it’s basically the same movie with a monkey.
To think it’s amusing when people are all, “People who talk down about the Kardashians must be jealous of them.” Uh. Yeah. Sure.
To be excited that my mother-in-law is spending Christmas with us. I get along with her. No horror mother-in-law stories here.
To love root beer floats. My husband and I have them weekly. Usually when we watch Ghost Adventures.
To be surprised time passed quickly and that I’m getting my vows renewed on Saturday. Ack!
To look forward to making Christmas cookies. I always make sugar cookies with buttercream frosting. All homemade, which is rare for me. Usually I buy boxed and canned stuff.
To be hosting a giveaway for Novica.com for a $50 gift certificate here.
To have The Virgin Diaries (a new show on TLC) on my DVR. The preview cracked me up. It showed two people who have never kissed before basically licking each other’s lips off because they had no clue what they were doing.

ReplyDeleteI crazily allowed my 13 hr old son to see it because i loved the hangover so much. oh. my. god. is all i'll say. think of me and the things i had to explain to him, as you watch the movie.
Huh, I've never seen the hangover movie, though I've seen the advertisements for it lately.
ReplyDeleteAww - congrats on the vow renewal!
ReplyDeleteI want to come over to your place for cookies!
I love the baking part of the holidays- I dont think I'll ever give that up!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS on the vow renewal- are you nervous??
The Kardashians blow.
Seriously..Maybe I make fun of them because they are ridiculous. Just a thought. And can't wait to see the vow renewal pictures! How exciting!
ReplyDeleteSaturday will be so much fun! And so sweet. We expect pics. :)
ReplyDeleteYay on the renewing vows!!! :o)
ReplyDeleteI saw the commercial for Virgin Diaries... haven't really decided if I want to watch it or not... hrmm..
I love Ghost Adventures. Of the very little TV I actually do watch, that is one of the shows. Congrats on the renewal. I'm excited to see pics!! And your cookies sound yummy (typing that made me giggle)
ReplyDeleteI still have The Virgin Diaries recorded too. That kiss has to be one of the grosses thing on TV. And Mario Lopez is on there.
ReplyDeleteI am excited for your vow renewal...how special! Virgin Diaries is AWESOME! We laughed so hard and rewound their kisses a million times. It looks like the girl was eating her husband! :)
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you on Saturday! :c) That kiss on the preview for the Virgin Diaries was soooo awkward! lol
ReplyDeleteI only pushed submit once, but my link appeared twice on the linky :c( I don't know how (if possible) to fix that.
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for those virgins. Sorry, I never had that attitude of 'saving yourself', I just think of all the joy missed while waiting (and not learning how to kiss)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on renewing vows. That sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteHow many years?
Have a great time on Saturday. I want a root beer float now.
ReplyDeleteI have the Virgin Diaries on DVR, and will watch once my daughter decides to nap. The kiss in the preview looked awkward.
ReplyDeleteI still don't know exactly who the Kardashians are or why they are famous. I guess I could find out this information, but I really don't want to. I swear I'm not jealous!
ReplyDeleteHow cool to be renewing your vows!! I think it's so sweet that you have root beer floats with your husband, my husband and I are coffee people! Thanks, I always look forward to your it's okay Tuesdays!!
ReplyDeleteYeah I watched my DVR'd Virgin Diaries yesterday and I had this really weird look on my face the whole time. I just didn't understand that couple...
ReplyDeleteHow sweet to be renewing your vows.
ReplyDeleteI like my mother in law too! Really!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty darn happy that you get along with your MIL. My daughter gets along with hers, but I saw a flash at the wedding which leads me to believe she is going to turn into a giant PITA.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting about the vow renewals!
Haven't watched Hangover but now I'll have to. Have a wonderful vow renewal day on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI have not had a root beer float in forever but I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I think I know what I am getting this weekend! Congrats on renewing your vows this Saturday!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously? Ok, setting up the DVR right now to record the Virgin Diaries.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about root beer floats, but I love me a Coke float. Reminds me of being a kid. Enjoy the vow renewal.
ReplyDeleteOMWORD! The person who commented above me doesn't know root beer floats??? How does this happen???
ReplyDeleteCongrats on renewing your vows. That's wonderful!
The Girl Child is bugging me about Christmas cookies... must go shopping!
I didn't even know about the first Hangover movie until 6 months ago and I died watching that...hilarious. Can't wait to rent the second one!
ReplyDeleteI love root beer floats...we used to have them all the time as kids when we would celebrate birthdays in the family. My husband has NEVER had one...can you believe that? There are actually people out there who have never experienced the yumminess that is a root beer float!!! Cream soda is also good with ice cream.
Please, can you post your buttercream frosting recipe?! Our tradition is making cut out sugar cookies every year but I'm sick of the watery powdered sugar/milk frosting that we use every year. Pretty please?!
