I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up!
---------------
To be ready for season 2 of Downton Abbey (premieres Sunday on PBS!)
To have not liked most of the music that was played on the Dick Clark New Year special.
To not use Flylady to help me get organized. I figure I’d try it for a day and then get annoyed.
To miss all the Christmas decorations. I put them all away and now the house seems bare.
To love Nerds candy. I’m almost 30 and probably should prefer things like nuts and berries but I don’t. Maybe when I’m 35.
To not be surprised that Katy Perry and Russell Brand split up.
To hate when I forget to switch the clothes from the washer to the dryer.
To hope Tom does okay on his trip with his dog. He’ll be gone for 2 days. I can’t give more details because of OPSEC. I’d rather some nut not want to harm my husband if it’s all the same.

I'm so missing the Christmas decorations. I feel like I need to feel every void space with something else. Did my house always look this boring?! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised and not surprised by the breakup. They did seem rather perfect for each other, but really, it's Hollywood. And she's kissed a girl and liked it. I think that should have been a sign for him.
ReplyDeleteWell...I DO love nuts and berries but then again, I also over-induced in suger cookies and candy canes - and I'm in my forties! My dentist loves me.
ReplyDeleteI love nuts and berries and NERDS.(and I'm over 35 too) Sometimes you really can have it all.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually a little surprised, they seemed to fit. Oh well, no one lasts very long in Hollywood.
My oldest daughter saw Rick Springfield and said he scared her. At one point during Jesse's Girl, she turned to me and said, "Is he even still alive?" Nice.
ReplyDeleteBut if she didn't like Rick Springfield she REALLY was uncomfortable with Boy George.
I miss my decorations.. my house looks so bare and boring!
ReplyDeleteI almost never can get my clothes from the washer to the dryer and I miss Christmas too.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's OK to hate when you open the dishwasher and find it full of clean dishes. The only thing worse than a sink full of dirty dishes is when you have to empty the dishwasher to have a place to put them! Stevie @ ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com
ReplyDeleteThis season of Downton Abbey is AMAZING! I got an early view of it. I won't spoil a thing though! Glad to see another fan of the Crawley family!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about my Christmas decorations. Even though I love to make things, I rarely ever craft anything for myself, so my walls are bare when the Christmas decorations go down.
ReplyDeleteI really hate when I forget about the clothes in the washer for so long, I start to smell them sour! not fun.
Doesn't happen often since I normally have to wash clothes daily, but it has happened.
I miss the Christmas decorations too. I hate forgetting to switch the wash. I do it all the time.
ReplyDeleteI tried Flylady for a day too. TOTALLY annoying right!
ReplyDeleteI love Nerds too. Some things just can't change when you "grow up" LOL.
Uggghhh the whole switching the clothes thing, then you have to rewash the ones in the washer 2-3 times just to get the musty smell out. YUCK!
I <3 Nerds!
ReplyDeleteIt's also okay to seriously dislike it when your "Monday" falls on a Tuesday. Monday's need to stay where they belong.
ReplyDeletewe watched the Coldplay concert on NPT, switched to watch the ball drop, and went right back :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat is this Fly thing? it already is stressing me out now.
ReplyDeleteI hate laundry, period
I loathe flylady. Exhausting.
ReplyDeleteI've never had a nerd, I'm off to the store to give them a try.
*sigh*
ReplyDeleteIt's not fair - why oh why does Australia have to be weeks and even MONTHS behind the US for TV shows...!
I'm desperate for the next season of Downton!
Aww not having Christmas decorations up anymore IS sad. It really is totes okay to be upset about that...
ReplyDeleteKaty Perry and Russell Brand broke up?
ReplyDeleteOH. Can you hang on a sec.? I gotta wipe the chocolate off the corners of my mouth.....
ReplyDeleteI hate that laundry thing too.
ReplyDeleteJust hearing about Flylady makes me nervous. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about flylady...I'm gonna google that...
ReplyDeleteThat house looking bare after taking off the decorations is so true :-)
ReplyDeleteI am 40 and I have an obsession with redvines. My mom was just telling me that I should watch season 1 of that show on Netflix. I guess I am going to thave to check it out.

ReplyDeleteI love Nerds candy too and I'm not anywhere near in my 30's I wish though!!
ReplyDeleteI am such a grown up as I don't like candy anymore. Sometimes cinnamon bears tempt me but for the most part I'd rather save my calories for chocolate. Preferably See's.
ReplyDeleteThere is something cheery about Christmas decorations, but girl, relish the extra space!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I barely blink when I hear about Hollywood break-ups anymore!
ReplyDeleteI did Flylady for longer than I expected to. Now I do my own version, which is a lot lazier. ;)
ReplyDeleteHey there, I thought we were the only Americans that watched Dowton Abbey!!! We love that show so much, it's one of the best ever in my humble opinion. You're blog is great and I love the Shabby Apple. I might be in trouble there. Take care,
ReplyDeleteShauna
Never heard of Downton Abbey or Flylady...which means I'll be googling them in about five seconds.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone be surprised by the breakup of Katy Perry and Russell Brand?
Hope your husbands trip went well and he's home safe!
I found a website where I can already watch the second season of Downton Abbey, since it already aired in the UK. Thank goodness for sites like that since I can't watch masterpiece classics outside of the US
