Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up!

---------------

To not like how the bride who has the biggest wedding budget usually wins the honeymoon at the end in Four Weddings on TLC. If she has a big budget, she can probably afford to pay for her own honeymoon. (Especially that chick who had the 100,000 wedding. It was obvious she was from a wealthy family..)

To think that Beyonce and Jay-Z redoing an entire floor on the hospital for the birth of their baby was a bit extreme.

To not care that One Life to Live went off the air. I don’t watch soap operas.

To wonder why Target went from 75% off to 70% off. What happened to the 75% off?

To have not understood most of the dresses that celebs wore to the Golden Globes. I suppose it just means I don't get fashion.

To sometimes agree to play hide and seek Natalie and take my time in finding here so I can get a little bit of peace.

To have not liked the movie One Day as much as the book. I figured that would happen though.

To not know what half the buttons on the remote control do.

  2. I do get the gowns--but only after attending the Oscars. It's not about appearing fashionable. In fact, it's almost the opposite. The women want to make a statement--they want to be noticed and talked about. It's easy to wear an elegant, safe dress but then they won't go noticed. Oftentimes what looks awful on television can really look dramatic and gorgeous in person!

I do think many of them looked awful at this year's Golden Globes though. What I like is looking at what people consider to be the best-dressed. I don't agree a lot. I saw Julie Bowen made a best dressed list. I thought she looked dowdy and frumpy.

  3. I was extremely disappointed in Beyonce and Jay-Z for that stunt. I could think of a million other ways to put a million dollars to good use!

  4. And what about the father who was denied access to see his newborn twin girls in the NICU b/c of Beyonce and JayZ? Ridiculous!

  5. Good ones today. I am glad I am not the only one with remote control issues. LOL

  6. I am ok with all of the things you are ok with. Really the fashion things are not gettable......what is with those dresses anyway.

  7. I am so sick of hearing about stars and their extravegant doings. Target really went from 75% to 70%??!?! Cheap skates! You have to find the peace and quiet any way you can. :)

  8. See now, I didn't even notice the 5% difference. I'm observant. And I don't know what the majority of the remote control buttons do, either. Maybe one day...

  9. I figured I probably better not see that One Day movie....unless I wait long enough that I forget how the book went. :)

  10. I do love Four Weddings. But yeah, usually, the most money wins. But I've seen some crappy weddings on there, even if they were expensive.

  11. We have three remotes (cable/blue ray/tv) and I don't know what most of the buttons do either.

  12. Going by how they act... I would NEVER let a celebrity tell someone in Washington DC how things should be done. :)

  13. That right there maybe one of the reasons I don't like Four Weddings. I feel like if they have all that money to spend they can just pay for the honeymoon and they should leave the spots open for others who can't just pay. I sometimes feel like it is just a flashy tacky show. And I think remote controles these days are over rated...I am trying to figure out why in the world I have 3 when I only know how to use one.

  14. I would say that about 95% of the time, books are always better than the movies.

  15. So true. Especially the part with not knowing what the other half of the remote control buttons do. Love all the others too, but I must confess I don't watch TV at all so don't know anything about "Four Weddings". And what is up with Target? I rarely shop there but curious all the same.

  16. I do that with hide and seek too... sometimes I count REALLY REALLY REALLY slow :O)

  17. The remote has too much testosterone dripping from it for me to tolerate attempting to figure it out.

I need three buttons, on/off, volume, and HGTV.

  18. I think the hide & seek thing is a little secret all of us moms have :)

  19. Half? I think of the 50 buttons on our remote I know what 5 do. I am a wreck with anything electrical or technical. If Glenn died I'd probably go join the Ammish, I think I would fit in with them.

Books are ALWAYS better, totally agree.

Big Budget Weddings just annoy me in general. It's the Marriage that's important brides, the MARRIAGE!!!

  20. I've never watched that TLC show, but that doesn't seem fair to me either. Love this link up btw. :)

  21. That last one? I couldn't agree more. Does anyone even use all the buttons?

  22. My biggest complaint about the remote is find it! Between kids and hubby, no one but me knows where it really goes...and I hate digging in the couch. ;)

  23. But Luckner found a market for more than dead bodies. They'd just escaped from a brothel where they'd been kept prisoner and forced into prostitution by a pair of sisters named Maria and Delfina de Jesus Gonzalez. When the cops went to check out their story, they were shocked to find that kidnapping and sexual abuse were the least horrific things going on in that brothel..
