Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

------------------

To have avoided the tax free shopping this past weekend. It’s not worth the crowd to save a couple of bucks.

To be ready for the weather to drop to the 70 degree range. This triple digit nonsense is too much.

To have bought the kids backpacks last year for cheap. I usually wait for them to go on sale. Then I pick some up for the following year.

To not understand why neon clothing is coming back in fashion. It is not attractive. On anybody.

To love going grocery shopping when I can do it without kids. With kids, it’s not as fun because they want every little thing.

To understand that people can be passionate about politics but wish they’d also understand that not everyone feels the same way. And that’s it’s OKAY for someone not to agree with THEIR opinion.

To not care that Eric Dane (Dr. McSteamy) is leaving Grey's Anatomy. His storyline was boring anyhow.

To be annoyed with all the Chick-fil-a posts on Facebook. This basically sums up how I feel.

  1. I agree with the Tax free weekend, and the Chick-fil-a post. Really people if you are upset about it just get your chicken some place else, and if you are happy with it great shut up and eat!

  2. Haha! Yes - the heat can suck it - I live in Texas and I am so ready for Fall! And no, neon is not cool. At all. The eighties do not need to come back. And I love chicken. I don't want my sandwich and waffle fries to be a political statement about anything!

  4. Grocery shopping with the kids can be tortuous.

  6. My kids always accuse me of being mean when I don't want to buy them everything they see ... I also prefer shopping without them.

O and I avoid the sales as much as I can, I don't mind paying full price if I don't have to push & shove everyone to move just an inch!

  7. I don't really understand Tax Free Weekend either...it's just a few dollars. I think some people go just to say they did it...kinda like Black Friday...although I do go Black Friday shopping just to make fun of other people.

I bought Bree's backpack at the Disney Outlet store, only to find out that in 4K...the school provided backpacks for them. So I guess I'm going to hang on to it for Kindergarten next year. Hey, nothing wrong with being prepared.

And Amen to the Chick-Fil-A picture...because let's face it...that chicken is sooooo good :)

  8. Ahhh, grocery shopping without children. One of life's little luxuries. And I can't comment on the Chick-fil-A thing, because I've never eaten there. They put one in a few miles from our house several years ago, but it's always so packed I've never ventured inside. I don't like chicken that much to begin with, and if Josh wants it, KFC has a drive-thru.

  9. I don't have kids, but I can relate to the grocery shopping thing! When I go without my husband it's so fun "oh look at all the choices!" When I go with my husband it's boring because he won't le me buy every little thing.

Love this idea and hope to link up in the future!

  10. ERIC DANE IS LEAVING GREY'S ANATOMY? Nooooo. That can't be right? THIS IS NOT OKAY! He's the best character ever, plus he's sooooooo sexy. Even my husband thinks he's sexy! Good thing we don't eat fried chicken, I guess :)

  11. I didn't know Eric Dane was leaving Grey's but it doesn't surprise me really. Kevin McKidd's more my flavor. His leaving would upset me.

  12. I LOVE that e-card. That's totally me! :)

Grocery shopping with kids is worse than going when your hungry. UGH.

I just wish they would have let Mark and Lexie move off and live happily ever after if they were both gonna be gone. grrrr. Can no one live happily ever after on Grey's??

  13. I have a neon green and grey shirt that I wear to work where they nicely tell me it's the indoor crossing guard look.

  14. Ah, still remember the birthday I got a neon orange sweatshirt, neon green belt (belted over the sweatshirt) and my grey parachute pants. I thought I was so cool!

  15. I've been bored with McSteamy for awhile plus now that Lexie is dead there is not much for him to do.

I did shop this weekend but wasn't aware it was a tax free weekend everywhere. I went to Kohl's and saved more then I spent ($143 spent/$173 saved)

I LOVE your It's Okay Tuesdays!!!

  17. With you on the chick-fil-a thing! Also, I avoid shopping with my 4 kids at all costs.
BTW, hopped over from a comment you made on Julie's foursons blog.

  18. Yeah. It's a chicken sandwich people. Sadly my entire facebook stream has become radical Democrat/republican debates or rights activists issues.

If it wasn't for it being the only safe way I communicate with some of my family, I'd delete it all together.

  19. So with you on politics. Those who are into it are DEEPLY into it, and those of us who are not just don't want to hear it. I couldn't care less about McSteamy leaving either. I actually stopped watching at the beginning of the season because it has become so cheesy!
