I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

To have been slightly depressed when a commercial for cougars (women who date younger men) came on and it showed someone’s profile and she was only 34. 34 is a COUGAR NOW?!
To wonder if the actors ever feel uncomfortable when the camera pans in on them while the host of the award show does a joke or points them out. With my luck I’d be doing something like picking my teeth or a wedgie right at that moment.
To love Gymboree’s new line. It’s nautical themed and I LOVE nautical clothes even though my husband goes, “I’m not Navy.” So? You don’t have to be Navy to wear nautical clothes!
To want to see the movie Lincoln. I love history so I know I’d enjoy it.
To have not watched the entire Golden Globes, but bits of it. Tommy Lee Jones did not look happy. Maybe he’s bummed that Britney Spears broke off her engagement.
To be ready for warm weather. I am not a fan of the cold. Some people love bundling up and putting on their fancy hat and boots. I don’t own a fancy hat or boots. I wear my Sketchers all year long. Well, I switch to flip flops on really hot days, but not all the time as I have ugly feet.
To have made waffles for dinner two nights in a row. With Tom gone, I really don’t have to cook. And I’m being generous saying I “made” waffles. They’re Eggo. But I did push the toggle on the toaster DOWN. That’s something…
To plan on watching the first season of Girls this weekend. I caught the first episode awhile back and really enjoyed it.

Count me in as slightly depressed about the 34 yr old cougars, considering I just turned 34. Nice.
ReplyDeleteI want to see "Girls". I don't have HBO so I'm trying to convince my library to buy the DVD. No word yet.
ReplyDeleteI thought Tommy Lee Jones looked really crabby, too! Especially when Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrel were doing their skit on stage.
As far as cooking goes, hey - at least the kids ate something, right?
What? Britney broke off her engagement? When? Where was I when this happened?
Yeah, what was with Tommy Lee Jones? He looked so uncomfortable it made me uncomfortable!
ReplyDeleteAre we shocked Brit Brit broke off the engagement? Sorta like Kim and Kanye expecting, shocked?
34 is a cougar?! Blah. I'll be 36 next week so what does that make me? Too old to be a cougar! Lol
ReplyDeleteWhat?!?!?!?!? Britney Spears broke off her engagement?!? And why am I, surprisingly, shocked by/care about this???
ReplyDeleteI LOVE anything nautical!
Tommy should be smiling now that Brit is available - he might have a chance!
ReplyDeleteBetting the kiddos LOVED waffles for dinner two nights in a row! Take it easy, it's all good!!!
ReplyDeleteWait, what is all this about Tommy Lee Jones and Britney? Does he have a thing for her?
ReplyDeleteA 34 year old cougar is weird but who cares, I'd rather be a MILF any day of the week! :)
I can't wait to watch Lincoln! I have to wait until it comes out on DVD though cause movies tend to put me to sleep. I'd hate to spend so much money on a movie ticket only to sleep through the whole thing...again. :(
Oh, honey. Being a cougar is less about age, and more about attitude. :)
ReplyDelete34?! Now I'm depressed too.
ReplyDeleteWould you believe I didn't even watch the Golden Globes? I linked up this week! :)
I think that's Tommy's normal look. I love the eggo bit lol
ReplyDeleteBeing GF we can't have Eggos (well Tony and Oldest can, but that's not the point.) I got a waffle maker for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI think we have waffles now every other morning. :)
I am also read for warm weather. Yesterday...61. Tonight... 4 inches of snow. *sigh* Love living in New England.
34 is a cougar?! I think not! Tommy Lee Jones looked hella pissed. Maybe a cougar turned him down.
ReplyDeleteI'm 35, have I been a cougar for a year without noticing? Well, now I just feel awkward. I consider anything cooked in a toaster a meal, it's been cooked, what more do they want?! I once worked as an aupair, and when the Dad wen away on business, all we ate was breakfast cereal and Mc Donalds. It was awesome!
ReplyDeleteWe had warm weather here last week. Now we have cold rain. I wish it would at least snow.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay to put ice in my wine right?
ReplyDeleteNow I want waffles. How's your writing going?
