After Tom deployed I thought, okay, well, now things are probably going to break.
It’s what happened when he went to Korea for a year.
I kept my fingers crossed that it wouldn’t happen this time.
But....
.....it’s starting.
Help.

Oh no!! I hope that's as bad as it gets!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a toolkit of your own to keep things up.
ReplyDeleteIt ALWAYS happens! This time I hurt my knee pretty badly, two of us have been sick, and a DVD player died. Yesterday, my car made a weird noise, and I nearly started to cry! lol
ReplyDeleteNot quite sure why, but I thought the title of this post was hysterical! Maybe because it sounds like a newspaper heading.
ReplyDeleteLike: BREAKING NEWS: HUSBAND LEAVES FOR DEPLOYMENT AND THINGS START TO BREAK watch live at 5!!
I hope it's relatively easy to fix...and inexpensive.
True story! Wish I had something more uplifting to write! LOL. But all I can say is Just prepare yourself :)
ReplyDeleteOops! Stock up on Gorilla Glue.
ReplyDeleteThat exact thing happened to me when my husband was in Iceland last year! This exact time of year too. Let's just say it didn't look right until he came home ten days later.
ReplyDeleteWhen Brandon leaves, spiders come out. The big ones!
ReplyDeleteUgh. Deployment edition of Murphey's Law sucks so bad. I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteWhen the first few things fell here, I just left them. Because surely if I take the time to put them back up, I'm inviting them to fall down again....
ReplyDeleteMurphy's law of deployment! It ALWAYS happens :-(
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOO!!! Are you kidding me??? Ugh. I hope that is the first and last breakage you have!! I have all my crossables crossed for you that it is!! --Lisa
ReplyDeleteOh, dear. Hope that is the worst of it.
ReplyDeleteBoo!!!! I hate towel racks too. You need a rent-a-man.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a Good Samaritan you can call.
Thats always how it happens...
ReplyDeleteIsn't that always the way?? My husband and I are debating whether or not to buy or rent in our next assignment and I keep making a case for rent, because I'll need a landlord when he deploys...because things will definitely break!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about deployment, never had to deal with it but I do know that when Mr. Big is away, something always happens. Last time it was a toilet backed up...the only toilet in the house...and 6 kids running around. Yeah, not fun!! Hope this is as bad as it gets (HUGS)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry. I hope that all that breaks while he's gone. I hope the time goes quickly.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sharefest. I hope you have a lovely weekend.
As a military wife, I can attest. It's like the house, cars and children all sit down together and make the master plan when the door closes behind him. ((HUGS)) I completely understand. Hope your weekend gets better! #SITSSharefest Happy sharefest! http://www.circleoflifenetwork.com/blog
ReplyDeleteMilitary wives are a strong breed! But, it does seem as if everything he husband would take care of are the things that suddenly start going willy-wonka.
ReplyDeleteHey, and that Spam dude that got into comments...THANK YOU FOR SPARING AMERICAN WOMEN YOUR HATEFUL ATTITUDE and keep paying a foreigner to lie to you, but I mourn for womankind internationally for having to haplessly deal with your inability to be a REAL man. American women are too strong for your need to over-compensate.
Anyway, back to my blogging buddy...I hope nothing else breaks, but it seems that is the irony of life.
:-) Lana
Oh no! Hopefully that is the end of it
ReplyDeleteI'm such a klutz. Heck about 5 minutes ago I tried lighting our kitchen on fire. Turned the spaghetti pot on hi and walked away. The hubby saw the *erm* flames. Apparently I dropped a piece of plastic from something under the burner? Hmmm
