Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

------------

To be excited that we’ll be in Disney World next month! I wish we were rich and could purchase a private tour where we could bypass some crowds but alas, I am not Katie Holmes with Suri.

To have watched Silver Linings Playbook. It was good. I wasn’t sure about the ending though. What did he whisper to her? (I’m not naming names so as not to spoil anything.)

To be happy with the winner of Survivor. The next season looks like it’ll be a good one.

To not want to see The Great Gatsby if hip hop is playing a lot. I heard that Jay Z has a song in it and if it’s going down that route, no thanks. Hip hop is not for me.

To be a little scared that my kids only have a week left of school.

To have two giveaways right now. You can win 2 coupons for a salad at Chick-fil-a here and a book called The Unfinished Work of Elizabeth D by Nichole Bernier here.

To want to see this new military show called Enlisted that airs on Fox in the fall. I hope it's entertaining. The preview looks hopeful:

  1. I feel exactly the same about The Great Gatsbey! Lol, I first thought it looked like a cool movie and wanted to see it. Then I heard about it's soundtrack. It's really not what comes to mind when I think of the Great Gatsbey... I feel like the movie is not going to be what I thought it was with that music.

  2. We saw The Great Gatsby, and while the music was a bit off-putting, the movie was still worth it overall. It was not just the music, either, there was something about the way they shot some of the scenes that's not my favorite style at all. Yet, I still enjoyed the movie.

  4. OMG! That show looks absolutely hilarious! Fox usually has pretty good stuff. I'm looking forward to that also.
The music in Gatsby wasn't bad. I believe there were even multiple Jay Z songs, but they seem to fit. It wasn't like they were dancing to Jay Z, it was more like Jay Z's music being played over the party scenes. Over it was still a great movie, and I think the music was only in the beginning anyway.

  5. Have you been to Disney world yet? I have never been but I was just discussing the upsides/downsides of Dinsey world versus Disneyland the other night.

  7. I love Silver Linings. I didn't expect to love it as much as I did! As for Great Gatsby, I'm not really making an effort her. Maybe when it comes out on DVD..

  9. It won't help you this time, but if you go to Disney again try to book for either the week after Thanksgiving (traditionally their slowest week of the year) or January. When we lived nearby they offered locals great deals in January just to try and get people in the park.

  14. I think he whispered something about both of them moving on and not getting back together. That's what I suspect, and I LOVED that movie!

  20. I want to see Silver Linings! Not sure about Gatsby ... and don't know if we'll ever afford the Big D. We took the kids to one in Cali when we got married in '07. My hubby has been to the other one (before we ever met). Enlisted looks hilarious!! I hadn't seen the preview to it before!

  22. He does have a hip hop song in it- he performed it on Idol. I am sure I will see it someday, but not until it comes out on video for sure.

My kids have one week of school left too! So crazy-- excited and dreading it all at the same time.

  23. I loved Gatsby but I watched the 1974 movie the next day to get a better understanding of the plot. I loved the 1920's costumes!

  24. So, I'm curious, do you have a theory about what they're going to do with the whole "Blood vs Water" for the next survivor? My husband and I were talking about it and we think they're bringing couples (family or close friends) and then splitting them up...so when they merge it's a choice between blood vs water (their tribe)...sorry, I've been dying to talk to someone other than my husband about it.

PS>totally agree about "Enlisted" looks hilarious!

  25. oh...and I'm excited for you that you're going to Disney next month!

  26. Have fun at Disney! I live a couple of hours North of there.
I was disappointed in Silver Linings Playbook because I read the book first and they changed a lot. It was good, but...I guess I just shouldn't have read the book first. lol
