Hey, It's Okay Tuesday

Before I posted Hey, It’s Okay Tuesday, I wanted to send my thoughts and prayers out to those in Shawnee and Moore who were hit by a devastating tornado. Sometimes when things like this happens it's hard to be okay with anything, but I am proud of everyone here, who stepped in to help without hesitation. Many soldiers went from work to the debris field to help search for survivors.

I also wanted to thank everyone who checked in on us to make sure we were okay. The tornado hit about 20 minutes from where we live and did NOT come onto the base as predicted. I am so incredibly grateful for that but again, my heart goes out to those in Shawnee and Moore. If you would like to help the tornado victims text REDCROSS to 90999 or go to redcross.org

To not be ready for the last day of school—which is TODAY. No husband. He’s deployed. My chocolate drawer is well stocked.

To have thought the boneless chicken at KFC was slimy and gross. You know the commercial where they shout “You ate the bones?!” Well, I decided to try it and yuck, never again.

To hate how shows are ending for the season. I will try to watch some summer shows though.

To have been let down while watching the Grey’s Anatomy finale. I thought it would be better.

To have loved the very last episode of The Office. I cried.

To think it’s cool that Tommy got a superlative in the yearbook. Not everyone does. I never did.

Yeah, he’s quiet at school.

  2. I am so glad you are alright! Duh! I forgot that you live on the base! Still! I checked you blog last night just to be sure, although if something happened I'm sure you wouldn't be able to post. How devastating to all the people of Moore!

What didn't you like about the Grey's ending?

    Congrat's to Tommy!

Good luck for the summer! ;)

  3. I totally would have gotten the quietest and then been mad about it. I would have thought that people didn't really know me well...lol

I tried the boneless too and yuck! Hated it.

  5. So glad you are all okay! For some reason I thought y'all were in Wyoming, so I am doubly glad you are safe!

Next Friday is the last day of school here. Part of me is looking forward to sleeping in, but the rest of me is dreading having to entertain the kiddos lol.

  6. Quietest! I think that's so interesting. I think it's far better than most talkative, which my sister got.

    So glad you're all ok...

What shows did/didn't you like the endings of? I'm struggling with some and floored by others.

  7. I was jealous of all the cool kids that got superlatives.
I'm glad that everything is ok. I've been freaking out for the past two nights, dealing with my first tornado threats ever.

  8. So glad you and your kids are safe. So very VERY sad and horrible about the towns that were hit.

I never got a superlative either and was always jealous of those that did. Congrats to Tommy!

I'm not liking a few season finales either.
The Hawaii 5-0 one yesterday...just left me guessing...
And way to go for Tommy - we would have gotten loudest, most talkative among my kids

  16. Glad you are okay! I'm so behind on TV, I don't think I've watched any of this season's stuff. I'm thinking hubby and I are due for a DVR-marathon!!

  18. I am so glad you guys are OK. I thought about you when I heard. Your neighbors down here in Dallas have been thinking and talking about our neighbors up in OK. My sister-in-laws family is from OKC and they are all alright as well. But I just can't get those terrible pictures out of my head. And that women who was speaking with the news reporter talking about her lost dog when the dog appeared from under the rubble. Oh goodness...

  19. Well bummer. I was hoping the boneless chicken would be good. I usually don't like boneless because it's only white meat and I wanted to try boneless dark meat.
Aren't you so glad I shared that with you? You're welcome.
    Glad y'all are okay!!

  20. So glad you guys are OK. I have a couple of other friends stationed there and I was stalking all of your Facebooks making sure you all were OK. I hope the weather settles down for you guys. It's been crazy lately.

  21. Boneless chicken just isn't right! I've heard a lot of people say the boneless chicken was not good. I was a little disappointed with Grey's too but at least they didn't let Meredith lose her baby.
