**CLOSED! Winner posted here**
I love history!
So I was excited to hear that there was a movie called Copperhead coming out. What's it about? Well, the Civil War. This was in the e-mail that I was sent:
From director Ron Maxwell, (Gettysburg, Gods and Generals) Copperhead is unlike any other Civil War movie. Far from the Virginia battlefield, it’s the exciting story of Abner Beech (Billy Campbell), a peace-loving but stubborn dairy farmer in upstate New York. He detests slavery, but opposes the war for the sake of the “union.” Abner is neither a Yankee nor a Rebel. He is a Copperhead. This is an extraordinary story of family and community. Learn more on the website http://www.copperheadthemovie.com/.
I would so watch that! It comes out on June 28th. Here's the trailer:

Haven't seen Peter Fonda in a while, loved him in Ulee's Gold, glad to see he is still active.
ReplyDeleteProbably will go see it, I read about the War Between the States, but not as actively as you.
This looks AWESOME. I'll definitely see Copperhead. I find the Civil War Era fascinating. It's probably because I read Gone With The Wind at a young age and we were always going to Civil War battle sites when we visited my Grandmother in Chattanooga.
ReplyDeleteI got 7/8 on the quiz. I don't know which one I missed!! (It was the month the war ended question! Huh!)
I'm going with the ketchup for the recipe. I've actually wanted to start making my own because I think commercial ketchups have so much junk in them. I'm going to try it! (although I don't know what "mace" is or if it's important)
Off to do my tweet right now!! I have my fingers crossed! I'd love to win!! --Lisa
Well..I didn't do that well. Surprising because I thought I knew more. I studied World War II in college and it nearly wrecked me. I guess I need to brush up on the Civil War.
ReplyDeleteHistory is probably my least favorite subject, but I do enjoy watching historical movies. Hubby loves all things history!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard about this movie, but it sure looks good. My sister is a Civil War buff, so we'll probably go together to see this movie.
ReplyDeleteI would go see it. I'm a history buff and love period movies.
