Hey, It's Okay Tuesday

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

---------

To be almost done Christmas shopping for the kids. I start early. I still need to find stuff for Tom though.

To love the site slickdeals.net. They will list fantastic deals daily.

To have gone to a Scentsy party and bought new scents. One of them is Christmas Cottage. I can't wait to get it.

To hate when I buy everything for a meal....except the main ingredient! This week I bought everything for a stir fry but forgot the stir fry meat. So back to the grocery store I go.

To have tried the pumpkin pancakes at IHOP. They were amazing. Plus I had hot chocolate. I love hot chocolate.

To be glad that I'm not alone in not doing a lot of things I listed in my Things Most Mothers Do, But I Don't blog post.

To have been excited when I found these. (I discovered them at Target.)

  2. I used to be good about shopping early for Christmas. This year I haven't even thought about it - no ideas, nothing purchased - just a big blank!!!

  3. I wish I was done with my Christmas shopping!

I think I need to find those Twix.

I'm terrible about that same thing at the grocery store. I get annoyed having to go back.

  4. I got the twix. I was disappointed. They really don't taste very gingerbready. Although if you like gingerbread, I got the off brand target gingerbread sandwich cookies with cream cheese middles and those were AMAZING!

  5. If you shop online, do you ever go through ebates.com first? I do whenever I remember. I like it because you can get a percentage of your money back from whatever you bought from whatever website. LIke you could get 12% back from amazon.com as long as you go to ebates first, then go to amazon.com from ebates. It has worked very well. I ordered my laptop from sony through ebates and I got like 150 bucks back. I thought that was a good deal.

  8. I HOP pumpkin pancake, just to die for. I broke down and had the raspberry white chocolate chip ones. So good I did not use syrup! Thanks for the tip on the Twix. That will be my next shopping trip must buy! I loved
having all my kids presents bought and hidden by Thanksgiving. Its different with grandkids. Just as fun, don't get me wrong, I just miss doing it for my babies.

  9. I wonder if we'll have Gingerbread Twix in Canada... I like to have my Christmas shopping done by the end of November...If I can just figure out what to get my brother, I'll be good to go!

  11. I forget ingredients at the store ALL the time, it's so annoying.

I've made good headway on Christmas shopping but I wouldn't say I'm almost done. I cannot figure out what to get my 15 year old this year.

  13. I try to be done by Thanksgiving at least with all the big items people ask for and then I spend the rest of the time with little stocking items.

  14. Arrrgh! You have most of your Christmas shopping done?! I have a total of TWO gifts bought. This move is causing me to fall behind in a major way.

  15. mmmmm...Twix!! love.
My mom has started my Christmas shopping for me. Terrible I know -- a grown woman I am, and here my mom is doing my Christmas shopping! pathetic.
but she loves it!! seriously -- you cannot keep her away from a sale. and she loves being the one to find those items her grandchildren want.
    Honest - I swear!
I sent her 2 gift cards as thanks: coffee and booze. Ha

  16. I don't know about Gingerbread Twix. And Christmas shopping? It's okay that I'm not thinking about it until December... :)

  18. Christmas shopping? Barely even started! I'm not planning on getting into it until after Thanksgiving. Husbands are the hardest to shop for, in my opinion!
