Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post. Grab the button if you'd like!
------------

--To have not watched the VMAs. I think I'm too old to enjoy it now. I find most of the acts irritating. I hear Miley let a homeless guy accept her award? I think her people are trying to help her image. See? I'm too old and cranky to watch.

--To be going to The Cheesecake Factory tomorrow. I have to drop off my iPhone 5 at the Apple Store to get a new battery. It's free! My phone is part of their battery program. (Click here to see if yours is too.) I guess I got a bum one.

--To have a giveaway for a Back To School Scientific Orkin Kit here.

--To be ready for some cooler temperatures. It's been in the high 90s and and 100s. I don't want it TOO cold--but the 70s or 80s would be better.

--To have gone to Tommy's Open House yesterday. Flashback to my own days of middle school and going class to class.

--To not care what's in a pumpkin spice drink. Thanks FoodBabe, but some people don't mind drinking monsanto milk. (I actually get the pumpkin spice cream drink. Non fat, no whip. I'm sure it's still bad, but I don't even care. That's my fall treat!)

  1. I don't care what's in the PSL either. That's in plenty of other drinks too; why are they picking on that one?

  2. I'm secretly hoping Hubbs picks Cheesecake Factory for his birthday tonight! I want some Parmesan crusted chicken and cheesecake!

  3. I don't watch VMAs either. Enjoy Cheesecake Factory!

  4. There's a lot of things I don't even want to know the ingredients of because I'm happy in my ignorance. Like human hair in bread...yeah don't need to know that. I didn't watch the VMA's either. This was my first time as a non-viewer since like- I don't know? Pre-Millennium? Someone get me my walker!

  5. Oh - I was hoping that my phone would be eligible because it doesn't stay charged at all - NOPE!

  6. Let people eat and drink what they will. We're all going to die somehow.

I no longer watch the VMAs.

My phone isn't eligible even though it can't hold a charge at all.

  7. I need to link up to this next week. it's a perfect, easy meme for lazy bloggers like myself. I'm so old, I'm all "What are VMAs?". Cheesecake Factory = love. I like pumpkin flavored things in the Fall, but don't like Starbucks prices - maybe I'll look for a copycat recipe.

  8. Food Babe drives me nuts!! She can't let us enjoy any kind of treat, ever. She ruins everything yummy and delicious that I don't have to make myself.

  9. I love love love Cheesecake Factory. My favorite cheesecake is the Mango Key Lime, omg it's like heaven!!

Also temps in the 90s and 100s? Yuck!! It's 85 here today and I feel like I'm melting!

  10. I'm ready for cooler temps, too. It's been so hot and humid here the past few days... it's like walking into a legit sauna when you step outside - instantly makes me feel dirty!

  11. I wish I liked coffee so I could have yummy coffee drinks!

  12. Yikes - reading that, I am kinda glad I opted for the Oprah chai latte today.
Still totally having the PSL at some point though. I think it might be different here in Canada - a bit stricter - at least with the milk products.

  13. I didn't watch the VMA's either. I have officially reached the age where I don't know who half of the people are ... sigh. I read today that Miley's homeless guy was actually a paid model - I guess the idea was good, but the execution, not so much.

  14. Lame graphic... Possible pesticides, not vegan....? Really?!
I'm with you on the VMAs. I only knew they were in because of the live tweeting.

  16. Sadly, I don't even know what the VMAs are! And I'm tired to Miley's antics. I do love Cheesecake Factory though, and I've only been there once. That's all I needed after tasting their avocado rolls. I want to go there again just to have those.

  17. Wait, what's the VMA's? (half joking but yeah.. )
I have a friend who has to eat all organic because of medical problems and even she said that the Food Babe blogger tends to overblow things and that many other drinks could easily be picked apart.
And PSL.. well.. it's once a year, ya know?

  18. It weirds me out when people obsess what's in stuff. Maybe I should care more, but I don't. I care if it tastes good. I don't watch ay awards shows. ALthough a guy I went to high school with was on the CMA's so I watched him and no one else. My iphone battery sucks. Its so bad I've really thought about getting something other than an iphone when I upgrade

  19. Food Babe needs to tone it down a bit. I have read many of her articles, and most of her points can be refuted.

I didn't watch the VMAs either. From what I read, I didn't miss anything.

  20. everything you eat (processed foods) is *bad* for you. But I haven't died yet, so I'm good.

  21. I'm with you, if I wanted to know what was in my drink, I would make it myself. I can't wait for the starbucks fall/christmas line!

  22. I was watching Extra yesterday and that guy that accepted her award was homeless due to his choice. He left home to look for a modeling career. He did not make it and ended up homeless. He also has outstanding warrants for parole or probation violations......Miley was fooled!! lol

  23. OMG SO COOL! My iPhone is eligible. I thought the battery life had been super spotty lately. I just assumed it was because it's 2 years old. Our Apple Store is located in the same mall as our only Cheesecake Factory here, as well, so I may have to snag a lunch date with my husband out of the deal...

  24. I love this post, it's a great idea, I might do one myself!

  26. It's Okay to be a bit tardy in linking up,right?

    Didn't catch the VMA's either.

I do love fall weather, because it's perfect. 80's, are just right. How fitting that I graduated in the 80's. Hmmm!

  27. We don't have a starbucks in our town but that pumpkin drinks looks amazing! I wish we had a starbucks. Do British starbucks even sell them?! Hmm, I wonder..
