Merry Christmas!
And if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a fantastic day.
Today is the day where I feel grateful for my family.
...Grateful that Tom is home with us and not deployed...
...Grateful for my son, who has to navigate a world that is too loud and too noisy for him at times. But he does it, because he he's awesome.
--Grateful for my daughter, who isn't afraid to be who she is. She loves dresses. But she also loves running around as Darth Vader.
--Grateful for books that take me into another world.
--Grateful for movies like Anne of Green Gables, that make me quote things like "I'm in the depths of despair."
Today will be spent with my family. I'll probably step on one of those plastic twisty tie things that hold toys in packages. I'll probably even curse.
But I'll be with them, so it's okay.
I'll also be watching Star Wars: A Force Awakens. Finally.
And I'll stuff my face with nachos.
Merry Christmas.
